Posts: 48 East Tennessee | I bought a Stage one level one exhaust kit. I don't like loud pipes at all. I'm just wondering if it will be worth my money to install this kit or not. Any thoughts ? |

This being said, they are noticably louder than the stock pipes, which are very quiet. With the S1L1 pipes, if you are cruising easy, they are just a little louder than stock, if you get on it, they sound great.

| I have the S1L1 pipes on my 2011 Vogue Silver/Black and they are just right for me...I personally cannot stand loud pipes, especially those "gawd awful" straight things on Harleys...On the road they are nice and mellow and will bark for you under hard accell......The ones on my 08 Kingpin Stage 1 were always popping and backfiring...drove me bonkers...no so on my Vision so far at least....... |

| I'm not a loud pipes person either. The stage One is worth it for the kick in power (especially after coming from a Rocket III), and the pipes really aren't "loud". Sure they're a little louder than stock, but you don't get people staring at you like they do when a Screaming Eagle goes past, . They're very neighbour conscious
I don't think you'll regret giving them a go, unless you want your bike to be as quiet as a Volvo

Posts: 394 Tucson, AZ | I had the S1 L2 pipes put on my bike right after I bought her in November 2008 and wish I hadn't. A bit too loud and you get just as good performance from the L1's with a more mellow sound. |
