| I have a stock 08 Vision and I am thinking about getting the Victory factory option of either the S1L1 or S1L2 exhaust upgrade.......
I want more noise (deep rumble) but not crazy loud like the real loud Harley's. The boost in HP/Torq on the factory options look good.
Help me choose.
Thanks,
Bill |

Posts: 83 Bolivar Missouri | My dealer also say's same as opas ride Victory is discontinuing the S1L2's .... if you want them they can be gotten pretty cheap right now . My dealer offered them for 500 installed . There is a draw back to them and that is the tips for stock and S1L1's won't fit the L2's |

Posts: 72 Chino Valley, AZ | I don't know about the availability of the S1L2s but I sure like the pair on my 08. There is a slight rumble when cruising at speed that is barely noticeable, when you crack the throttle that is when they bark. It is not obnoxious just authoritative. Since I passed the 50,000 mile mark they have opened up a little more, still pleasant though. |

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I went with a S1L2 only because I found a brand new set with flash card on Fleabay for $300,installed myself and paid a shop $65 to do the flash-don't have much experience with the others to compare to but it's a good balance-quite when sneaking out of the neighborhood and plenty of bark when you roll on. No way would I pay full price for any of 'em. Brian |

Posts: 72 Chino Valley, AZ | One thing I forgot to mention is the power boost. Until I test drove a stock XCT I really had no idea how much more seat of the pants power the S1L2s give. The XCT felt sluggish and unresponsive compared to my 08 Vision. |

I've been thinking about sending l2's in and having Atom Bomb core them. If there weather gets bad enough not to ride this winter lol. I wouldn't mind a little deeper sound. |

Posts: 130 Houston, Tx | I personally enjoy my Ness Honkers. They have a nice idle tone to them until the throttle is turned and then watch out. I have no issues with them while cruising down the freeway - nice even tone which I enjoy. Some say they are too loud...personal choice. They key for me was I got these at a STEAL and sell installed, then added filters and VFC taken off my '08 JP which (IMO) is better then a factory installed Stage1 kit.
I have been told that when you go to do MAJOR engine upgrades, that the Honkers are to open ...lack of back pressure..and are not the best performance pipe but they appear to still provide some pep for basic St1 prospects. Once I cam my Vision, I may move to the D&D's but I'm not sure I'm willing to lose a lil sound (they are quieter then Honkers, right?) for a lil power, especially at that price point. Hmmm...another choice. LOL.

| Corvette, I got that info from Lloyds page:
http://www.lloydz.com/dyno.asp
I am actually also considering the Nascar6 modification. t seems similar to the Atom Bombs but I have seen guys with the stock map say they never had the MC remapped......... That sounds pretty good to me. Saves a lot of cash too.

Posts: 506 Woodland Hills, CA | Before I bought my '08 I was able to ride bikes with both the s1 and s2. Personally, the only difference I could tell was the sound; power seemed the same with both. The s2 was louder, but after coming off a Harley, I wanted something deep but not too loud, so I went with the s1, and very happy I did. I have since added Loydz cam and extras, and it performs and sounds incredible, but is not too loud. |

| I went to see Lloyd about two weeks ago. He put in an intake plate, cams and D&D exhaust and I could not be happier. The bike has a great rumble but not annoyingly loud and pulls like a raped ape. Its like whole new bike. The mods we not cheap but worth every penny.
Thats my $.02 |

Posts: 21 London, KY | Installed dual glasspacks on my '09 and I am REALLY pleased with the sound. At cruising speed and idle...nice low rumble...hit it hard and you will light up the neighborhood...best of both worlds. Best part....mine cost me less than $200 and , I think, looks better than stock. Used a local exhaust friend to put the pieces together for me and I did the removal and install. Send an email to me at kentuckyman2@windstream.net and I can show a few pics that I took. No matter what you get...you will be happy over stock. UD |
