Well,I NEVER thought that I would hear this comming from my wife's mouth, but it did. " We need to get this to sound like that." She was refuring to the sound of a couple of friend's bike's that we rode with this weekend.Yes, they were HD's. I traded an "07" classic in on my NEW PRIDE AND JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2012 VV.And yes the classic was LOUD. I don't need to get that loud but, I would like to be able to throttle the DEER of the edge's of the highway.Plus,The only thing I miss about the classic is the SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess this will be a double edge sword,I don't need to set off car alarm's as I'm driving by,but the V is to quiet for me.Oh yeh,I didn't say it but I do agree with the wifey. I would like to hear it come to life, WITHOUT LOSING ANY POWER!!!!!!!!!! ANY FEED BACK WILL BE WELCOME.

RIDE HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LIVE FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DIE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOD BLESS OUR TROUP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best bang for the buck is the Thrush mod. Nice sound and alot louder but doesn't set alarms off unless you want it to. Plus you could do it yourself in a couple of hours no problem. If i can do anyone can.

Check out the Atom Bombs at B&E ... http://superflowmufflers.com/products.htm send him your mufflers and they recore them . Sound is great and some added pep too... get a Lloyds intake plate also,,easy install and more sound and better performance. I did my L2 and love the return on investment. LOTS of complements from Victory and HD guys. If you're looking to spend to spend more money do Ness Big Honkers

Most of the Vision riders don't know what there bike sounds like!!!!
The only way you can here your bike is get off it. Have a friend make some pass's by you as you stand by the side of the road.
Now you know your true sound.

Atom Bombs are the better buy for the dollar.

BBQ, there are a number of options. AtomBombs, RPW's, Ness Honkers, CFR slip on's, Vic options (S1L1), D and D. I think one of them (RPW?) is a 2 into one with fake pipe on the left side. And 2:1 are supposedly the best in performance. Go to You Tube and do a search for Vic Vision Exhaust. You'll be surprised what you find. And that might help with your choice. For my money it was the CFR's and I am happy with the sound. Not as loud as my old bike, but a nice low rumble that has a bark to it when I step on it.

Was the CFR set up just slip on's or is there a head pipe also? Where did you get it?

Thanks

CFR I don't believe they make them for vic's IF there is a 2 into 1 for a vision the guy made it him self. For the most part exhaust with good baffles you don't need a down load but if you feel you do buy Lloydz you'll get more for your money then a Vic download.
The horsepower curve of a typical 2-1 pipe like the SuperTrapp starts off slightly lower than the 2-2 pipe, but rises at a rapid rate in the mid rpm ranges. As the rpm range approaches maximum horsepower, the curve flattens out. Once maximum horsepower is achieved, the curve drops of rapidly.
The horsepower curve of a typical 2-2 pipe like the Cycle Shack Slash Cuts produces a curve that may actually be closer to a straight line from low RPMs up through the rpm that maximum horsepower is produced. Once maximum horsepower is achieved, the curve drops at a relatively mild rate.
A typical drag pipe produces a horsepower curve that initially rises very slow. As the RPMs start to rise above mid-range power, the curve begins to rise at increasing rate until maximum horsepower is achieved. Once RPMs have passed maximum horsepower, the curve drops of rapidly.

I thought Nascar6 also modified victory exhausts. He has some good reviews on the vmc.

John, here's the link for the 2:1's you claim don't exist.

http://www.rpwusa.net/index.php/bikes/victory-exhaust/vision/113-do...

Shane, CFR's phone number (As of March 2011) is 623-374-3759 Mine are slip on's and I got them for cheap (less and $400 I think) as they stopped making the slip on's to focus on making a set of true duals. If they still have the slips on's you should get a good deal. And if they are making the true duals you get to lose your cat's!! Nice!

Love the relatively "tame" sound of my S1L2 pipes; they have a nice rumble, but not the rowdy sound of the Cobra Angled Slash Cuts I had on the last scoot. The cool, rowdy noise coming from my bike is the music!!

My S1L2's could be a bit louder and it wouldn't hurt my feelings any. I see a couple screws by the end of the pipes, and I wonder if I undid them I could pull the baffles out and shorten them a foot or so, and if that might do the trick. They seem to be straight through, and looking up there with a flashlight, the baffles seem to go all the way up also. Also, did someone say the'08's have catalytic converters? That's news to me!

Yes, two screws and you can remove baffles for NICE sound. Perhaps too loud for some, but I like it!
One note, though, I pulled the right baffle with no problem, but the left one I had to take to the dealer for removal. Just couldn't get it out. They were surprised they had to do some exhaust disassembly in order to remove it.

A couple of years ago the wife and I were in Las Vegas on our annual trip to our time share when we went over to the Arlen Ness Motorcycles dealership where they sell Victorys besides the custom H-D engine based bikes and a salesman started up a Vision with a set of Thunder Sticks on it and all I have to say is WOW!  While I'm not into the excessive noise scene anymore (had my fill with a '03 VTX 1800C w/ V&H Big Shots w/out baffles) I have to say that the Thunder Sticks had the best sound without being so obnoxiously loud.

Hope this helps!

I was at the American Victory Rally last year, hanging out in the parking lot where the Lloydz dyno was set up.  Hundreds of bikes came and went all day long.  Only one bike made me stop and look up before I could even see it.  A guy from Utah pulled up with Thundersticks and I was blown away at how deep they rumble.  Not the loudness, the deepness and resonance.  Anything is better than stock but those Thundersticks are by far the best I've ever heard.  He pulled the best numbers on the dyno for his set-up also (compared to other bikes with the same cam upgrade just different exhausts).

I have Stage 1/Level 1 with the Turbine tips and the Thundersticks literally blow mine away.  I think you'd really like them.

I will although be doing alot of research, and maybe take a drive down to loydz,to check thing's out before the season close's here in western N.Y. Been rainy all week, and it dosen't look like there is an end in sight for now,to the rain. I NEED TO MOVE!!!!!!!! Again thank's all,for the ongoing info.

I recently upgraded my exhaust on my Vision and it sounds awesome. I did have it put on a dyno as well and it has increased the H.P. about 10% and the sound is awesome. My wife says she can hear me coming from about a mile away. I must admit it is taking a while to get used to the noise it's making, but it sounds sweet to my ears. The pipes I used came off of the '09 Vision I used to have. We modified the old stock mufflers and added the Ness Twin Sucker air filter kit and a power commander V from Lloyd's. Good luck in you decision.

Do you have to remap when you do the Thrush or Atom bombs mod?

Yo. I'd like to bump this up for an answer, if anyone knows.... thanks.

Atom Bombs, Lloydz VFCIII and intake. Awesome combination! Sound is excellent on acceleration and mellows out on highway under cruising speeds
