I have a 2008 grey vision. Love the dark metalic grey but the light grey... Not so much.

I am thinking about either painting the top fairing piece and the rear body piece behind the engine the same SSG color and leaving the rest as is, OR paint all the light grey some other color (maybe black).

I told a fellow vision owner about the black idea and he said that was not as good an idea as maybe some other darker grey color.... Maybe a charcoal.

So any ideas from you guys? Any pictures?

Thanks,
Bill

I painted a few peaces with a spay boom. Over winter I'm getting painted by a pro and am trying to do some computer photo shop program where I can play with color and designs

John, What is a "spay boom"? I am wondering since I like the Vision 8 ball so much if it has to do with the lack of a second color more so than everything looks good in black (when it's clean). So I am on board with more SSG color pieces.

If I say rattle can paint would you know? I went to the auto parts store and found this car color. From what I have read they say ford black is as close as you can get to a vision color

"spay boom" = Spray Bomb = Rattle can = Aerosol aftermarket paint typically in a 12 oz can.

OK I am more accustomed to the more proper English term Rattle Can... LOL

I also like the one color John has.

John, was that Victory SSG or a car color?

THX,
Bill

sPray boMb would be a hand held applicator of a finish, SPAY BOOM makes me think some local veterinarian is having a promotional program to have people neuter their pets.
The FORD Black is probably 'Raven Black' which is FORD paint code 'A' Look @ using a really 'off the wall' like a bright orange or dayglow red as an offset pinstripe between the two colors.

Paint a peice of metal or plastic with color of choice with a clear coat ( A darker Charcoal should go well ) and hang it around different places , stand back and look at it . Pin Stripes in silver or red would be a plus . IMHO

I've been thinking about painting my light grey pieces black also, with the exception of the header piece, it's chrome. But if I could match the SSM color I would rather do that.

foil or plastic wrap? Pretty old timey but very very cool and always was!! That's how you got 'marblized finishes' in the 60's

Great paint and really like the way you did the logo.

If you buy a Aerosol can of paint and shake it what do you get? Rattle can paint.
