Hello, can anyone tell me what bag they are using on the luggage rack? I would like to find one that sort of fits the rack.

I have been looking also, I have narrowed it down to one of two from cortech. Markh has one I like on his Vision that is posted in the gallery -

The bag Merkh is using looks like the Cortech Deluxe Tail Bag, but it's kind of hard to tell. I went to the Cortech site and noticed that this bag is not waterproof, which could be a real problem.

I would like to find a bag like this, but one that is waterproof - anyone have any ideas?

Looks like this may fit the bill. It says it includes a rain/dust cover.

You also need to check out Kuryakyn and Iron Rider. Both come with a rain/dust cover. The round Kuryakyn bag that I use has been through several downpours and with the cover on, stays dry. It has the built in straps that work out great when I use it. I will post pics when I get a chance. ET

It's a Pacific Outdoors River Duffel. It is waterproof and the size I have is the medium...it's 12"DX24"LX14"H. It was a little pricey but it sure fit the bill this weekend. I have it held to the rack with a couple of cam lock tie downs, pretty sturdy and didn't present any problems.

All my camping gear weighs in at about 24 pounds and I had about 16 pounds of stuff in the trunk liner. There were no handling issues at all and the bike seemed to handle the weight without an issues...to include the wife and I.

Ride Safe,

Ken

Willy, I've got a Kury Classic Tour bag that is brand new (for my HD I sold). It will fit the rack a little wide if you have the CB antenna on yours, but only rubs a little. If you're interested in trying it, let me know; I'm not using it, I have another that I put in the rear seat. It's part # 4144 if you want to see it on Kury's web site.

I looked at that and I thought it might be just a little large. I was thinking about 4133 which is supposed to be out in June. Thanks so much for the offer.

I just bought this:

http://motorcycle-luggage.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Pr...

Should have it by early next week. My plan is to cam strap it criss cross to the rack. I can then bungee net another small bag to this bag itself if need be. It is a pretty large bag, and the best part is it is only 12" deep so it actually fits the rack front to back. I will take pics and give my review next week.

12" x 11" x 24" = 3,168 cu inches or 52 litres +/-...

The trunk and side bags of the Vision has a total capacity of 6,750 cu inches. In effect, This new bag is almost half again the storage capacity of the entire bike. NICE!!!!!!

Oh, and please allow me to introduce myself......Hi, I am golfer.

I just bought this bag from www.directlineparts.com for $134.99 with free shipping. I liked the size and the ability to remove it from it's mounting pad so that it can be carried.

Update on this bag...

Love it! I didn't even have to use cam straps to mount it. It comes with it's own straps, and they work perfectly. The bag does not even come near the paint on the trunk. Big bag, very sturdy, pretty much a hard bag so to speak. Mounting it last night, I can shake the whole bike by grabbing the bag and shaking. The bag hardly even wiggles on top of the rack. The bag has d rings on it so I will easily be able to attach yet another bag on top of this bag with a bungee net. Could not be happier. HIGHLY recommend this bag for the Vision.
