| What has everyone found to be the best cleaner, wax, spray to use on the Vision? I have a S100 kit and don't really like it...
What is the best spray on cleaner? Something that can be used quickly and easily without leaving residue or streaks. |

Under the Rule of Jedi - Masshole | I've tried them all at one time or another, some bad, others good. Mothers, Meguiars, are some of the good. Also is some stuff that a car detailer turned me on to which is only stocked at Aubuchon Hardware stores. Sorry can't remember the name.
But, lately I have ben hooked on the new line of cleaners from Victory. The spray detail works great. Easy spay on, easy to wipe off. No streaks, no residue. Also works great on chrome and the windshield. God I sound like a bloody infomercial!
Give it a try and report back your findings. I like to know your opinion. |

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | Original Spray Cleaner & Polish is the best stuff on the market, IMHO. It can be used on all surfaces, gets bugs off easily. Doesn't make surfaces slippery, has good anti-static control. It is very reasonably priced, generally, also. http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Next_Dimension_Spray_Cleaner__P... Ya know what else works well in a pinch? Lemon Pledge!!

Houston, Texas | I use NOVUS 1 and it works great on the windshield and the body......living in Texas we get LOVEBUGS twice a year and and they come right off......and they have a product NOVUS 2 that works great on minor scratches. |

Arkansas | The Victory stuff is great; also, if you polish it once with Rejex, you'll find just a damp microfiber cloth will be all you need most of the time, even for bugs. And it will act just like Rainex on the windshield without any harmful effects at all. Product is used by military on fighters, etc.
Pricey but great. |

So Cal | Mothers cleaner wax is the best I've found for taking out minor scratches. Followed by any pure carnuba wax. Adam's detail spray for in between waxing, can be used dry on any surface. On the dash and batwings, armour-all. It fills in minor scratches, dosent remove them, but makes them invisible. Glass cleaner for the w/shield. I havent found anything yet that dosent leave minute scratches on plastic w/shields. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | I too have tried a ton of products out there - got the cans & jars lined up on a shelf. So far I've found the Victory polishes to be awesome. The spray detailer works great, the metal polish is fantastic, as well as the engine dressing.
BTW -The Victory Polishes work so well in fact, I've asked the owner of Pure Victory Polishes, Larry Meservey, to join Vision Riders to lend his expertise in detailing (what he did before starting Victory Polishes). If you've ever seen him at Victory events, you'll know he's serious about detailing Victorys. I've seen him work miracles on Mark Blackwell's Vision that had scuffs on the bodywork. Much of the stuff PVP sells was formulated exclusively for Victory paints and finishes. Anyway, I asked him to come up with a procedure for detailing the Vision.

29 Palms California | you can call me off my nut, but I used Plexis (spelling) I had a friend that was CH-46 crewchief, and swore by it. I used it for three years, it's great shizzle. Then someone told me it smelled like furniture polish. I was out of cleaner, and had a ton of bugs. I tried it on the windshield and front lights. Then the front fender..did this for about 2 weeks. This weekend, I cleaned my whole bike with lemon pledge. Great shine, and it smelled good. I then went over the trunk and lower dash with Mothers...can't tell which is shining best. |

Under the Rule of Jedi - Masshole | I use to work with an Ol'Timer who swore by Lemon Pledge. I can say this, you could always find his car in the lot...It was the one glowing. That car always looked like new. |

| I like Watermelon Baby shampoo. :P It seems to keep the dirt off also.
I like the new Turtle Wax Ice for vinyl leather and stuff. It works really nice.
I have use Mother's paste wax for a while now and like it in fact I just did the Ranchero with it yesterday.
I have seen Larry use his product's and they work great. He's a straight shooter. After I use up the stuff I have I will be buying from him. |

You wouldnt believe the crap that falls out of the sky in this big city. I clean mine just to keep the layers from building up. Dont look under the rear skirt though. I have yet toclean under there. |

He cleans his bike constantly; in the moring before the ride, at every gas stop, at a stop light or stop sign, before and after lunch, before going to bed, and sometimes even while he's riding it. He's probably the foremost expert on keeping a bike clean. I'm exactly the oposite. When the bike gets dirty enough that the dirt starts to fall off, then I've got it made; it won't get dirtier... |

I wish my bike was as clean as Fergy suggests. It is still dirty from the trip. I do like to keep the winshield clean and I like the Plexus product to clean the windshield and most of the bike. I will have to try the Victory cleaner. I do like a clean bike but will go for months without cleaning my car. Kevin will let his bike get real dirty but his Viper always seems to be clean. |

I've been using Lemon Pledge on bikes for the last few years. It really does work well. Plus, you can throw a pack of the re-sealable Lemon Pledge wipes in the saddlebags when you are on a trip.
Plexus, in my opinion, can't be beat for the windshield.
On the seats we use Maguire's Black Gold wipes. It keeps them shiny, and doesn't make them slick at all. In fact, it has just the opposite effect. We like to refer to it as azz-stick. (But not in mixed company, around small children or puppies.) |

Tulsa OK | I've had great luck with Honda spray polish on the windshield. I just rode 3650 miles in the last 2 weeks and collected bugs from 12 states. I can't find anything that does a good job on the brushed aluminum. All other surfaces came clean. Anybody else have this problem or do you have the chrome fairing? |

Tacoma, WA | I use plexus on the windshield, and in the past have used lemon plegde anti-static wipes with good results. I use zomol for getting light scratches out, and mother's polish on the chrome parts. Just an FYI: you can clean the wheels fairly easily (and check tire pressure) just by laying the bike on the tip overs. That is, if you wanna see what has built up under there!!!!!!!------Metalguy |
