Has anyone used or changed the ignition map in the PCV? Lloyz and the stage 1 reflash both talk about it but the Maps in PCV don't show any difference until map 6.  I just picked up a 15 foot USB cable so I can down load maps from the basement to the garage.  Help would be appreciated.

Yep, I did. I added a few degrees at 2500 rpm and higher based on a Lloydz map I had and it did seem a bit stronger. A few weeks later I was in Death Valley at 90F and it started pinging pulling a hill. I pulled over, grabbed my laptop and put it back where it was and the pinging stopped. I haven't bother to play with it since then. Maybe best to leave it alone :-)

I certainly want to avoid any pinging. What kind of of A/F ratio are you running @ 2500? Any chance I could get a copy of that Lloydz map? I would like to compare it to a base map and see how much he added. How do you like this combination? Stock pipes? Arr

Slightly gutted pipes but not much different than stock. Send me your email and I'll forward the Lloydz where I picked up the ignition changes and my current map which is a result of AutoTune.

I did the same thing at the 80% and 100% throttle positions above 3k rpm.... added 4 degrees, only to have it ping. Put everything back to 0 and no more ping.

So what are you guys using for an autotune base map? I would think the lean burn mixture of the stock map would be the root cause of detonation with any ignition advance. The real bummer is not knowing if the stock ECM utilizes manifold pressure (Vacuum) to advance the timing at cruise. That's the area I'd be most interested in changing. That's where the mileage increase can be found, if it's there at all.
