| DO any of you have a problem with the upper wings opening up when riding?
Can these be adjusted tighter? |

I took mine off, but I think you can tighten the pivot. |

Posts: 741 Central New York | My 08 had one loose and one tight right from the factory. The dealer said it wouldn't tighten. I research a parts fiche and learned there is supposed to be a fiber 'friction' washer in there. I went back to the dealer and told him to remove the fairing and check it. He did. Washer was missing from the factory. He got one and put it in and all is grand.
So check for the 'friction' washer. |

Posts: 337 san antonio, tx | I haven't had a problem yet, but I'm wondering if using spray type waxes can cause it to happen. The spray might be getting in and reducing the friction?
Just a thought. |

What middle screw? Mine only has the two little torx screws. And yes, my left one opens up on me, but the right one is fine. |

Remove the cover and tighten the bolt on each one.
Can you be more specific... what cover? what bolt? Is this a 5 minute process or a 5 hour process? |
