How much skill do you have? Where do you live? What year bike? |

That's very difficult to answer. It all depends on your experience, patience, available tools, etc. I've done 3 of them so far but I have a lot of engine experience and a perfect shop setup with all the tools and a lift so for me it was easy. You have to consider the fact that if you make even one mistake the results can be catastrophic including possible crashed valves, oil leaks and worse. If you have the wherewith all then by all means go for it otherwise find someone who has done it before and at least get him to supervise. Another consideration is that the job is in part not done by the book and entails prying up the upper frame member. Having the shop manual is imperative particularly in regards to setting the cam timing correctly. If I can help let me know.

There is more to it then meets the eye.

| Kevin X did mine. I watched and this is a job that I am glad I left to a professional.. By the way well worth having the cams done.. I added the Atom Bomb exhaust and love every mile of riding. |
