I'm at about 35,000 km on my '08 VV. My 2010 Zoom-Zoom has almost 19,000 km since summer of '09.
Chris - you need to stop and smell a Pussy .... or pet one .... or what the hell - just drive up here to B.C. and I'll point you the way to Alaska ....

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Don, I hope you and I live long enough to meet because if I ever get to ride to Alaska, I would need directions. Riding is such a part of my life I have plenty of time to pet furry creatures and we are still newlyweds after 23 years. And one thing I don't have time for is sitting in a bar, but a greasy spoon works for me TW, maybe that can happen also.

And to think, when Brigham Young first came here he proclaimed, "This is the place!" Huh? Wonder if he was under the influence; peyote, maybe? Currently it is 34 deg. here. |

| That's awesome varyder! Like I told you before I hope to someday grow up to be like you. All kiddin aside, with a mere 40K on my 08 I was already starting to panic because I love the ride of my Vision so much, I hated the thought of expensive repairs etc. so I started looking at a newer Vision, but your post gives me hope in the already most awesome bike ever! Can you in nutshell and as memory serves you share your experience with reliability of the Vision, how well did the parts last i.e. belt, front fork oil etc. May your next 100k be even more memoriable.
Peace |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | All I can say PCNova that I've done all the wrong things, missed service intervals for fork oil changes, over ran my belt specification, running on worn out spark plugs, used all the wrong oil and filters, etc, etc, and this motor is purring like a kitten and she seems solid as a rock. I replaced the steering bearing because of the lack of lube, despite it supposedly being done at the dealer at the 15,000 mile service. I replaced it at 45,000 miles, lubed it and at 90,000 it was still fine without doing anything to it. The fuel pump went out at 56,000 and the regulator at 98,000 miles, both replaced under warranty. My ignition switch broke about 3,000 miles ago and I have a replacement, just haven't installed it yet. (don't ask how I'm starting it). That wasn't covered under warranty but got a good buy at a dealer and it's not hard to replace, just need the time. I would say you will do well with your '08, or with a newer model that may be more refined. Me, I ride until the wheel fall off, but I got the feeling I'll see 200,000 miles on this motor, but suspect some electrogizmothingy will die on me sometime between now and then. But I won't worry about it until it happens. I keep the oil changed about every 5,000 miles, using usually Rotella, or Amsoil, and have run a ST7317 filter right on most of the oil changes. Oh, one more note, my airshock seems to be leaking a little oil and air, so I have to check that about every week or so.
Thanks, hope you have many happy miles, and thanks to all the rest.

Posts: 63 Calgary, AB, | Vary, that is WAY IMPRESSIVE. I bought a 08 Midnight Cherry this July, with real low miles. Managed to just more than double what it had on it when I got her, BUT I now sit at 12634 KM, or 7850.6 miles. Guess I've got a bit of a way to go to catch up LOL. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a Safe Holiday Season to to all. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Thanks again for all the well wishes. I initially had concerns with a new model making it to 100,000 without a lot of problems, but this bike has been a dream. I feel lonely sometimes when I'm around other riders on other brands because a lot of talk is about the time their bike is down and in the shop. I have nothing to say other than "get a Victory", but that doesn't go over well. I'll just continue to be a lonely happy rider... |

WOW! Cool...
For those who were wondering, including myself:
A palindrome is a word, phrase, number, or other sequence of units that can be read the same way in either direction, with general allowances for adjustments to punctuation and word dividers.
I didn't even notice that little factoid of the number 106601 until I read the definition and went back up and looked at the picture... COOL! |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | Great job varyder!!! That has got to be the 1st Vision over a 100K. I think Victory should trade you even up for a brand new Vision and put that one on display in a motorcycle museum. Victory having your bike would be cheap advertising that shows just how good Victory's are made. |

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | Palindromes are what are used in ads for new model cars, that way if the same car model is sold in Britian and Germany, the ad agency only needs to shoot 1 photo or film clip of 11HH11 as the 'plate' on the subject car to cover left and right hand drive. |

So, at a mere 42,000km, I figure I'm about 10 to 100 times better mileage than you, Chris ! And when I factor in my age ( 68 on Sunday ) - I think I gotcha by 8 zillion feet ... or 4 1/3 meters - whichever works out better for someone who cares !!!
Luv ya! Ride safe - we're off to get NEW E3's tomorrow at our nearest U.S. of A. dealer - then riding the Olympic Penninsula for a few days ....

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Keep on riding, Don! I got a late start, only about 10 years now under the belt, 3 years of it was in another life. I'm trying to keep myself fit so I'll be riding when I get to your young age. Enjoy your ride, I've got to put on a rear soon, maybe next Saturday before I leave for Fort Knox. |
