Posts: 460 Centennial, CO | Hey all,
I'm trying to move my bars back at least 1" if not a bit more. I'm a short shit and my shoulders and upper back are destroyed after miles of riding. It's to the chiropractor at least once a week if I ride more that 200 miles in a day. And THAT is easy to do on this machine!
I heard and read somewhere that the CCtour has an adjustment on the head to move the bars back. Anyone know about this? If so, do you know if I could fit it to the Vision Triple Tree?
Thanks!

Posts: 394 Tucson, AZ | The only ones I know are made by Heavy Metal Designs, a Vision-Riders supporter. He is located here in Tucson and I have tried the bars and worth the $375 he sells them for. I too have short arms and tend to lean forward when riding. Hard on the back. Might be worth a look see. Here's his link;

Posts: 460 Centennial, CO | Hmm...well, that is one suggestion for sure. Not really what I'm after though as I don't want to put on a new set of bars all together. I like the look of my chrome OEM bars. I'll definitely keep that in mind.
How far back did they come and are they raised too? |

I don't have short arms, but my back and hips aren't in the best condition.
The Vic backrest is the hands down best addition I have on the bike. I can't believe the difference it makes. It's adjustable so you can crank it pretty far forward, even while you're riding. If the stock adjusting bolt doesn't give you enough, you can put a longer one on. |

| I used to get a pain between the should blades like a long knife being driven in. It would come after a hour of riding. One day I said something to this physical trainer. He told me to get some weights nothing over five pounds stand straight and with weights in hands just raise shoulders. Do shoulder shrugs. Do about ten and thats it. Do them twice a day. With is a week I could feel the difference when riding. I did this for a month and now only for a week before ridding season starts. If your ridding now try it find some thing around the house and don't just think about it DO it. You'll see a difference before the new year. |

Posts: 460 Centennial, CO | John,
Thanks for the workout suggestion. The only problem I have with that is that I work out almost everyday already. Ha ha! Shrugs and upper back workouts are in my every third day routine. Actually I'm working out to bulk up again this year so I know it's not a muscular thing. It really is a position thing.
CC - I do have the backrest already and that did help. But I find that to be comfy, I'm so far forward that I get no benefit of the padded seat.
20 10 - not sure what risers would do. I need the bars to come back towards me. Am I missing something in the riser part of that which brings them back towards me??
Appreciate the suggestions! Really looking for the "proper" solution which I think victory addressed this on the cross country. Hence my original question.
Thanks all. I'm more than willing to take other suggestions as well. Something has to give. I just hope it isn't the bike. |

Your SOL. I haven't seen risers cause there is no room under the dash. Get a hold of Mike at HMD and I know he could make you some bars. Hes a good guy
and always willing to help out.

Posts: 324 New Orleans, La, | Elroy the HMD 520 bars are 1" up and 2" back and that"s pretty substantial also the leather touring seat moves the pilot pocket 1" up. HMD 520 also will rconfigure your seat anyway you want it. Cee Bailey offers a similar service of reconfiguring the seat. Either one will keep the VV pilot in the sweet spot of the saddle. BTW the HDM bars come in chrome also. |

Posts: 460 Centennial, CO | V92 - Thanks, my friend! I appreciate the input. I think I will have to go down this road or others as suggested.
Update for all - I asked KevinX if the CC adapter would work on the VV. His answer: NOPE - different configuration (not a quote...but you get the gist). |
