Polaris is moving some of it's ATV manufacturing to Montery in order to take advantage of the reduced tariffs of products made in Mexico, and shipped around the world. Victory has moved most of the manufacturing from the plant that WAS to be closed; to Spirit Lake. Now with the purchase of Indian. It apears that Polaris will be keeping the plant open, and build frames for both Indian, and tube frames for Victory. There are NO PLANS to move any Victory production to Mexico

You been talking to Honda riders again? Most of them think Victory is Canadian. Local Honda dealer even tells people that to this day, even though I've personally straightened them out. Got a link to the information?

Maybe the rumor is a reaction from a HD rider that is embarrassed about the news of HD moving to India?

Same kind of bad info. The bikes that are to be built in India are strictly for 3rd world consumption, and made from knocked down American bikes. Like Polaris with ATV's in Mexico. It is being done to get around restrictive Tariffs. Same reason Kia makes cars here

Just trying to have some fun.

Funny how rumors of Vic moving out of country gets spread so rapidly around the forums, but news of HD building bikes in India is explained away so easily.

Polaris moved ATV to Mexico to be more coast efficient. When they were in Osceola Wi. they could only get about two dozen ATV on a semi to take to the west coast or east coast to ship over seas. They sell more ATV over seas then we buy here. So moving to Mexico puts them right on the coastal waters. Now they have cut there coast. Yes they pay less in wages.
As for Victory it will stay where there at and in time Sprite Lake will grow with there motorcycle production.
NO VICTORY IS NOT MOVING
