Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Ditto. Rylan did mine. I haven't dynoed my bike, but the cams, VFCIII, and intake plate gives a Vision enough power to outrun GL1800 Goldwings in roll-on contests in every gear but 6th overdrive. The stock 5500 RPM rev-limiter hurts you in a dragrace (motor's still pulling HARD when you smack into the rev-limiter at 5500 RPM), and the stock 120MPH speed limiter hurts you in top speed contests. Lloydz reprogrammed ECU fixes both those limitations and then you can outrun Goldwings in any situation.
Looking at dyno charts you'll see that the Goldwing's torque curve stays over 100 FT/LBS from about 2600 RPM to about 5100 RPM. RWHP peaks at about 5600 RPM at 96 HP.
Looking at Vision dyno charts with VM1 cams, VFCIII, and intake plate, you'll see a torque curve that stays over 100 FT/LBS from about 2600 RPM to the 5500 RPM rev-limiter. Add Lloydz ECU and the torque curve stays over 100 FT/LBS from about 2600 RPM to about 5800 RPM. You'll still have 110 HP at 6000 RPM.
The stock Vision only has 100 FT/LBS from about 3200 RPM to about 4200 RPM, and TQ falls off rapidly after 4500 RPM. The performance increase from Lloydz cams, fuel controller, intake, and ECU is much greater than the nominal 25HP increase would suggest. The whole torque curve (power band) is widened out considerably.
The stock exhaust flows well enough to achieve these results. That's what I'm running. My bike looks and sounds 100% stock and my fuel economy is basically unchanged.

34% increase in HP.....27% increase in Tq at 5000RPM......A bit more then nominal*LOL*

Yep! We've had this discussion before. Lot's of people tend to only look at the increase in peak horsepower, or even the peak torque, when it's the torque curve that affects the performance the most. Lloydz parts give us a much wider and flatter torque curve so the bike pulls harder all through the operating range. I know you know that, but I constantly run into people who think that only the peak horsepower number is what matters. That number doesn't tell the whole story.
Anyway, to answer the original question, the best bang for the buck is Lloydz cams, a fuel controller, and an intake plate. Lloydz ECU puts the icing on the cake. Exhaust changes are optional. IMHO, exhaust changes on a Vision are a waste of money, unless you just like more noise, and do little to nothing to enhance the OVERALL performance, peak numbers notwithstanding.

| So on a 2011 model vision 106 it will cost about what? $1000 to $1500 ? |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | At current prices, $850 to $950 in parts, depending on whether you use the VFCIII or the PCV, plus 2 or 3 hours labor. An experienced mechanic trained in Lloydz method of installing cams in a Vision can do the job in less than 3 hours. Where are you located? Lloydz has several recommended shops around the country. Both Kevin Cross and Rylan Vos will make house calls if they can get enough bikes in one place at the same time to make the trip worthwhile. Lots of folks recommend Kevin's work. Rylan did mine, and I'm pleased.

| I'm guessing that installing different cams voids the warranty? |

| Hey kevinx. Since you install these parts, you would probably know best from interaction with Victory. Does the cam install void the warranty? I've had it done on Harleys by Harley dealers and they stood behind it. They wouldn't if it was not done at the dealer. I would be interested in getting it done as long as I still have the rest of the warranty on my 2011 Vision. |

You're about 750 miles from Rylan Vos in Minburn Iowa (The Vic Shop) and about 625 miles from Kevin Cross in Gainesville Florida (Polaris of Gainesville). I recommend you talk to one or both of these guys about going to see them. Rylan is "Vicbuilder" on this forum and Kevin is "KevinX" on this forum. Both highly recommended.

Technically it would void your warranty if it was the cause of failure in the first year, and if it was found to have been done it could void any warranty extension of years 2-5 regardless. Chances of it being discovered are pretty slight |

I just wanted to chime in with my Plus 1 for Rylan Vos. He did my cam work. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to go back to him if I ever needed anything. Top notch work, top notch guy!
Shoot, 750 miles? That is about a days ride right? :-) |

750 miles or 625 miles - as the Irish would say 'that's just a stretch of the legs' on a Vision |

| hell just ride down to KevinX. Just went last month with a buddy of mine from Nashville. My bike was already done by Kevin 2+ years ago. I road down for the hell of it at 40 degrees, wasn't going to miss the smile on my buddies face the first time he cracked the throttle. made for a good over nighter, wouldn't have missed it. My buddy still has a twitchy wrist, as we all do after gettin KevinX'd |
