Posts: 965 New York State | When I was on my way to Sturgiss last year I took off my lid in penn and did not put it back on until the day I was heading home.
The reason I wore it on the way home is because a biker was killed just a few miles from my camp at the Broken Spoke the day before.
I to think it should be the riders choice.
A biker is already at risk just being on two wheels so weather a lid is worn or not changes very little |

Posts: 741 Central New York | I would expect that bill to be signed into law right around the time they retract the seat belt law, 2 days this side of never. I don't see where wearing a helmet is anymore a personal choice than hooking a seat belt in a car, water skiing without a flotation device, or scuba diving without a training certificate. |

Posts: 25 Natick, MA | I have been riding for 25 years now and I have hit the ground with a helmet a few times. I am NOT about to try it without. However, I agree it should not be mandatory by law. Its Darwinism in its finest form, those who make the choice to be ignorant of the safety risk of riding a motorcycle have the right to share their brains with the pavement. |
