I have a problem.  Under power or acceleration the bike has a hesitation at about 3K.  The Victory dealer has had it on the computer and all, but there are no error codes.  He can feel it when it happens, but cannot find it.  It used to feel like I had hit the rev limiter, but now it hesitates for a beat and then drives on thru.  Any ideas?

any mods done to the bike? fuel management device, air filter(s) ? i had a simular problem many years ago on another bike. for me back then i had a intake air leak. but eveyrthing that happened to me probably doesnt even apply to a vision. for me my Rubber intake boot came part way off.

My '08 has always had a flat spot - and knowing that it probably wouldn't be replicated at the dealer or happens too far in between that it would near impossible to find and fix. It is like you describe, but I call it a "flat spot" where there is a momentary hesitation but mine is not fixated at a particular rpm. The time I don't expect it to occur is when rolling at a constant highway speed, even with the cruise set. But it's probably happened at least 10 or 15 times under that condition where it is steady as she goes and then suddenly the engine will pause for a second like it is shutting down, and then continue. The other time it will happen is on exceleration perhaps around 3 - 4 grand.

I know if I gave it to a dealer to find they would have to put to many man-hours on a dyno to get it to happen again to find, and I don't want to give up the bike for that long. I figure whatever it is finally gives out that the replacement will fix it, until then I'll just ride...

+1 on the flat spot! My '08 has done this since it was new! It is like hitting a momemtary kill switch, usually does it when I start to open the throttle at cruising speed but not always. I have had the ECM reflashed (twice) and installed a VFCIII but nothing has helped.

I have been an Industrial Electrician for 25+ yrs. and know that these "phantom" issues are virtually impossible to find. I am going to continue riding it like I have for 33K+ miles and when it dies and stays dead I'll be able to find the problem.

First thing to try would be an updated flash from the Digital Wrench software. Every few months they put out new versions of the maps, including the stock maps. If that doesn't work, I would replace the main relay. For around $8, it might be worth a shot.
