Anybody ever mounted a utopia backrest for the passenger seat? I know you can for the drivers seat, but there seems a shortage of vision passenger back rest. What do you think of moving it to the rear of the seat for the passenger ? You might need a different under bracket, but it looks like it would work and is easily removable for the sleek look without the tour trunk.
I hate the the look of the trunk but my wfe needs something to lean on. Ideas and feedback welcomed!

As you stated, mounting would be the issue. And the availability of such bracket...

I would make contact with Utopia and tell them what you want and the need now that Victory no longer makes the passenger backrest. I bet they could fabricate a mounting plate in no time flat. Keep us posted.

I think the back rest went a way cause there were braking. If your passenger is a 120 pounds or 150 pounds and they put enough force back wards it will brake. Believe me they will.
There is no place to mount under the seat and one flat steel support bar would not be strong enough to hold a person that is pushing back wards.
Your only bullet prof one would be if it mounted the the trunk mounting bolt holes. That would mean you would have to cut your filler panel.

I was offering one on my website that used the Utopia backrest. I only sold a couple so I didn't make any for stock. I have some kits started but I couldn't finish any until spring, even if someone did want one. My garage is unheated and I'm allergic to cold in my retirement.

As far as breaking a single mast, if this mast breaks, it'll be the last of your worries.

that's almost exactly what I wanted. Couple questions
1) Does it have to be as high as the one shown? (I would like it very low like the drivers one)
2) Is it removeable with out removing the 4 bolts? ( I was hoping just to stick a stub into the rear seat hole or unbolt it flush with the edge of the rear seat. or have it fold over and lay flat on the rear seat.
3) Cost of yours if you start making them again? (can PM if you wish)
Thanks alot for the reply.
