noticed this weekend while out ridingthat when we were talking on the CB that my helmet speakers would mute but the external speakers kept playing the LOUD music I had going...Shouldn't all audio mute when transmitting or receiving CB traffic???

The only way I could use the CB effectively was to turn off my external speakers....Is this the only way to use the CB??? Or do I need new software for the audio system???

Yes and it was a poor decision by Victory. I wrote them a letter several years ago regarding this. I had several HD Ultras prior to my two Visions and when using the CB it muted music on both headset and external speakers. You are correct that shutting off the external speakers helps but we should not have to do that.

Also, just got a new Canam Soyder and the CB is exactly the same as the Victory even has the exact headset cords which let me just have one helmet for both bikes, but again CB transmissions don't mute the external speakers.

I actually like it this way. When I'm travelling alone and monitoring channel 19 to keep up with weather and traffic conditions ahead of me, I don't want to pay attention to every little pop and crackle and squelch break. With my music on my speakers I can still enjoy the music when nothing significant is being said.
