I am considering getting a Zumo 660. Will the handlebar controls work with the mp3 player? Also is there a plug and play harness for an 08 vision or will I have to cut and splice wires?

The only handlebar controls that will work with ANY gps is the volume controls. I would bypass the Victory harness and use the Garmin harness spliced into a power source and plugged into the mp3 jack. It's the only way to get stereo sound.

I just spent a whopping $98 bucks for a Garmin 765T refurb job from Wallyworld. Mounted it with a Ram handlebar mount and listen to my instructions via the FM tuner. Used it today and worked fantastic. Heard her loud and clear. I only switch to the unused station when I know I'm nearing some instruction. I also have the MP3 glovebox cable option if I want to. You can load all the MP3 tunes you want in it....bluetooth too. I know the Zumo is the shizzle and I had one for a brief couple of days on another bike but returned it when I couldn't see the screen in daylight. Same screen issues with this 765T but the voice instructions through the stereo speakers made it awesome and saving 5 or 6 hundred bucks didn't suck either. Waterproof?, no and neither am I. Like many others, I have a ziploc if I need it.

I recently purchased a Zumo 660 and before I had a GPSMAP 276C, the difference on the vision of the screen is much better bestial 276C, the juice of the day do not see anything so I would advise you to buy a similar model 276C and splice the wires to your victory.
Softwear is possible that the juice is better but I think now there are models like the 276C with a 660-style softwear
