I've heard that may be a brake switch or needs recalibration. Steps are in the manual.

I would also make sure the lock nuts at the throttle body bracket didn't come loose. There's a thread on this somewhere.

That's what happened to me. Check to make sure your brake lights come on when you hit the front brakes

One of the connectors to the throttle cable is right down in between the right side tank and the steering assembly. Two wires plug into the throttle cable. They are just a press fit, not much there to keep them tight. I squeezed the sides of the plug down to make a tighter fit to the spades. Hasn't acted up since.

If you have brake light modulator that will do it. They had to disconnect mine after many issues with the cruise and that fixed it. It took over a year before the problem started. Victory claims the modulator box is talking to the cruise box and causes the issues.

I had to replace my brake switch - it was occasionally hanging up . The brake lights would then stay on, causing the cruise control to not work. Not to mention that people behind me never knew when I was actually hitting my brakes.

Same problem with my 09 last year and as pollolittle said it was the push type wire connectors on the right side of the frame between the tank and the fuel filler compartment. Connector orientation looking down from the top, one connector runs left to right, the other front to back.
Good luck
