Posts: 249 Phenix City AL. | No, I did not race a crotch rocket and smoke him LOL, but I was moving along on the highway about 70, I look in my mirror and see a crotch rocket coming up from behind, I usually find a place to mearge to the other lane t let him by, but this time I wanted to play and traffic was not that bad, and I knew the road. I lay on the gas and made the thrush exhuast scream, I look down and doing 110 with a slight s curve coming up, the crotch rocket is keeping up of course, I kept going slowed to 90 and took the s curve just fine (small amount of pucker factor) then went back up to 110, he followed me till the exit, pulled up on the side of me at the stop light , shook his head and said that bike can hold its own and your feet never left the highway pegs, he asked what kind of bike it was , I pointed to the Victory emblem, he gave a thumbs up and said he is going to the dealer to test ride one. No I dont have a death wish, it was just fun to play. I really like the vision. |

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | I've edged slightly over 100mph several times on mine, but haven't held it there for very long. I still feel in control of the Vision at that speed and could still go faster, but she's not the type of bike to run at extended high speed like that. She will go faster, I wonder what top speed is on our Visions ???? |

Posts: 494 Akron Ohio area | Having had my Vision plus 100 MPH several times, it's not that stable, it doesn't give you that warm and fuzzy feeling, and in my opinion, it doesn't want to go that fast.
I feel very comfortable traveling 90 MPH all day on my Vision.
Sometimes out West, 90 MPH is "going with the flow of traffic".
I've had many motorcycles well in excess of 100 MPH with full confidence.
Some Zoom-Splatts I've ridden on get you up to 140 MPH so fast it's scary, yet the bike seems very happy at that speed. |

My HD Ultra would start to concern me at around 105mph and I would slow down. With the Vision at 120mph, my only concerns are where the highway patrol are hiding. The engine and bike handle it very well.
dreesq, not sure why it won't hit 120mph. The only performance mods I have is the Thrush exhaust and upper air intake,it hits 120 in either 5th or 6th. It did as well with the L1S1 (no UAI) it came with also.
Even though the Ness Vision is lowered, I have still gotten respect from the crotch rockets down by Palomar mtn., a local twisty road that photographers like to hang out at on weekends to photo the crazies going up and down the switchbacks. |

Sixth gear has a lower limit.
To go 122 you have to stay in 5th to the red line.....I am not admitting that I have done this...but it is fun.
Make sure you lower the windshield before attempting a speed run.
Ride as safe as you can....please. |

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | I've been up to the limiter on my 09 and it was a stable feeling ride. Just held the throttle open a little longer and let it bounce of the limiter a few times and let her slow herself down. I was running a ct at the time also and I know at high speed if the tire pressure is to low it feels odd around 100mph I don't know if a mt is the same or not. |

Didn't on mine..... well, 123 indicated anyway.... okay, now I'm seeing that others with the PCV also don't have issues with the rev limiter cutting off at 121mph..... Anyone know what the top speed is with the PC-V ?

Posts: 763 Anderson, IN (48mi NE of downtown Indianapolis) | She sails smoothly at 100mph and feels like she can hold it for extended periods with little effort. My favorite speed is 50~55mph in 5th gear, but I take it to 120 a couple of times per year just to make sure she still has it. Putting the windshield down and turning the winglets and lower deflectors in helps get there a little quicker. |

| 138 on GPS in 5th gear with Lloyds package including 6400 rev limiter. 5th gear, 6th gear she slowly slowed down. i am sure if i had some extra room i could have hit 140 but a turn was coming. the bike was smooth and straight |
