Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Yeah!!! I finally conquered the installation of my dual Headlight Modulators from Comagination (had to send the one from Kisan back because it was too big).
For those of you whom installed Headlight Modulators, where did you mount the ambient light sensor? I'm thinking of tying it off to the the cables routed on the handlebars; but would rather have it facing straight up out of any possible shadows; from the bar itself or the cables. |

Posts: 45 Ventura County, CA | I installed mine under the fairing aiming at the front fender. I zip tied it to the left hand side of the fairing bolt directly above the fender. |

Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | I ran it up the left handlebar (ziptied to the clutch cable every half a foot or so) and have it pressed agains the clutch fluid reservoir facing up. Out of the way, and parallel to the ground. Works great. |

In the interim; I had ran it up the right handlebar front brake line and have the sensor eye horizontal (I know it's supposed to be facing up) at this time. I'll see how it interprets the ambient light and may adjust accordingly. Was having an issue trying to determine how to mount it for a "straight up" orientation. |

Posts: 741 Central New York | I used a tiny clamp and fastened it to the speaker grill so that the top of the sensor was even with the top of the grill. The wires don't have to move with the handlebars, it gets full light, and it's out of the windstream. ?You can see it on the right speaker grill in the pic I posted on cupholders. Here
