Posts: 12 North Coast | I've been a life member (albeit inactive) of HOG since buying my third H-D sometime in 1985, so I was surprised when I recieved a letter stating that my membership was being terminated. I promptly called customer service and queried the courteous rep who answered:
"Is it because I bought the cutting edge Victory Cross Roads with it's modern styling, awesome capacity and ultra reliable performance?" I asked
"No Sir" she replied, "That's not the reason"
"Well is it because I bought a Victory Vision and tell anyone who will listen about it's incrediblly smooth ride, extraordinary all day comfort and revolutionary design?"
"No Sir - Im sorry, but it's because we've learned your circumcised - and you have to be a complete d*ckhead to ride with us!!"
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!! |

Maybe it is a good thing for you... I'm happy to hear your HOG chapter is helping the community, as a HD owner I left mine years ago when it turned into a status group. I'll qualify my comment: I'm not a member, nor will everbe, but I do know members and I see what the group does in our area. From the members I know, yes, sadly, there is many that carries the patch as status, but the more sensible members do the work that is recoginized. I guess that is true with any group. Sadly, it is the few that give the good a bad name, I guess that is why I limit any affiliation with any group. Carry on...

Posts: 457 Green Bay, WI United States | Great humor, my HD buddies gave me crap until we ran a couple hundred miles on HWY 14 from Richland Center to La Crosse. Not had another "comment" about my Vision. Keep in mind I do not say too much to them so it works....... The proof is in the pudding as they say. |
