I sold my well-appointed 2009 Blue Ice to my best friend of 32 years Dan in April of last year.

Last Monday, Feb 27 Dan passed away from a sudden heart attack, leaving all who knew him stunned and heartbroken.

His widow, Linda asked me if I'd like to buy the bike back. I agreed both to help her out and because Dan and I had a history with the bike.

Dan was the most enthusiastic Vision owner I've ever seen. He would stop at every rest area along the road to talk with other riders and about the virtues of the Vision he loved so much.

So - the next time you're with your group, raise a glass for Dan. A good man, my best friend and a Vision rider.

Thanks,
--jim

HI --- THIS IS ACTUALLY A QUESTION FOR bob5219
WHAT KIND OF EXHAUST IS ON YOUR VISION?
IT SOUNDS LIKE THE SOUND I AM AFTER.
ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend exactly the same way he was very young ,32 went to bed and had a heart attack. The next week me and the wife went out and bought a vision. We had wanted one ever since they came out, we decided it was time because you never know when your number will be called. I think about him every time we ride. He was a member of a local bike club and we rode the vision in his funeral procession with about 50 other bikes and his body was carried in a trike hearst.

Thanks again, guys. Dan's wife Linda very much appreciates your thoughts, and so do I.
Here's a picture of Dan and Linda on the bike in my driveway the day they bought it last April. Probably a good note to close the thread on.

Oh and lest I forget - the sassy redhead to the right in that picture is my wife, Brenda. She thought I was nuts for selling the Vision to begin with. Turns out she was right. With that in mind if anyone wants to buy a very blue 2012 Goldwing audio/nav with 1700 miles, let me know. Since I sold the Vision, we barely rode the Honda at all last season. We did put some miles on the K1200LT last fall, but now that the Vision is back home the BMW will probably sit in the garage as well...

Thanks,

I had a K1200LT loaded with everything cause I was gonna drive it all over the country. Counldn't last on it more than an hour because my left knee started barking! 8,500 miles in three years was so disappointing.

I....stopped by a Victory dealer when the Vision Tour Premium came out...drove it for 5 minutes...bought it. Sold the BMW the next day on Ebay.

I get it!

Thanks, Jeff.
I know he'd read the forums because he would often pipe up with something that he'd say he read here. Whether he ever actually joined or not I don't know. I'll PM you with his full name and address; if you have a way of scanning the registrations you may be able to find and delete it that way.
