Fellow riders... Need your help, I have the CB/Intercom on my 09 premium. I want to remove the trunk which means I would have to remove and relocate the CB/Intercom unit to one of the bags if I want to be able to continue using the helmet speakers for music with system.
So, has anybody done this and do they make some type of wire harness extension?

I do not have the CB but know that others have relocated it to a saddlebag. Not sure how they connected to the harness. Hopefully one of these intrepid souls will speak up.

Someone posted a few days ago about this situation. A poster said the harness is long enough for it to be located in the trunk. You might want to try doing a search for it.

Yes, I know there have been a few folks have done it but can not put my hands on the procedures. If I recall, it is as simple as cutting a hole to run the wires and then mounting it in a spot that you feel is best toward the front. The existing wires are long enough. I'm helping keep this post at the top so whoever has done this will see and respond, I'm curious too.
