Well

I went to the victory dealer in Corpus Christi today.
one lonely 2011 vision sitting on the showroom. there were XC's and CR's as well.
Wife was more impressed with the vision. Biggest thing i couldnt get past was the silver color.
Price was up there a little too i think. $23,900 but thinking that will come down when ther '12's hit the floor.
Salesman said he would try to work on me with the price including a paint job. Hmmmmmmm Victory vision in the XC Blue color? that could be tempting. and just to apease my harley brother i went to the HD dealership so i could honestly tell him thati looked at the HD and the Road glide felt like i was sitting way up on top of it and legs were really feeling cramped. Infact when i got off the RG my hamstring cramped up. The salesman said i should rent one for a few days to get the feel of the bike. RIGHT.... I told him i was looking at the vision so maybe he was just trying to get more money because he knew i wouldnt be buying a harley. I dont know but it sounds like a resonable arguement.

Long story and here is the short of it. Two months out on my projected buy date. And the demo truck will be there next month. I guess ill just have to show up with my gear and put them all through their paces. I know its a dirty job but someone has to do it.

Yup, take them for a spin and then decide. Another thing to think about is when the test ride truck is there, a lot of times they will give you a better deal if you buy that day.

The dealers in Indiana don't keep a lot in stock that I have noticed and seem to be small but very helpful! Go to the trader and just compare prices all over the country. I know the maxumim dealer in Peru Indiana has a pearl white 2011 they priced me at 17383 with like 10 miles on it. You can also get factory demo bikes or dealer demo bikes and save a few grand. Now the factory ones have been with the ride semi or management at victory and come with the full wrty. I found a 2010 demo with a bunch of extras and had them throw in more and the extended wrty with it and it has around 6k miles on it. I have to go 6 hours to look at it and get it but my dealer here is happy to help me once I get it. Good luck

You should be able to get a 2011 for under 20k. My local dealer is out of visions of any year. It seems a few HD riders bought him out.

My local dealer sold all the visions he had, he has plenty of other pics. Just saying the visions are selling well.

From reading several posts about 2011 Visions, Silver/Black seems to be one of the most popular colors.. Sorry you don't like it..After waiting for 4 years to buy the one I wanted, I opted for the silver...The best color combo so far IMHO...Good luck and I hope you can find the one you want.....You should be able to find one for $20,000 or less if you look around.....

The Fuel It demo is the way to go. They also give you a $1000 coupon just for trying them out.

+1 on the Fuel It demo. I combined that with the deep discounts Vic was giving to older models last year and picked up my 2009 Ness Vision! I can't believe it has been almost 1 year... and at 10k miles so far. It is so much fun to ride.

Starchasr,

Are you riding on Friday or Saturday? I might make a run to Corpus Christi just to ride the demo bikes on Saturday if you want to meet up. Maybe others would want to show up as well. I used to love the food at Old Mexico on Leopard but they have been closed for over 15 years.

Maybe we can go to "U & I", Whataburger or the Astor for a bite. To bad Knuckleheads closed down.

Demo tour dates 4/13/2012 - 4/14/2012 Cycle Plaza 2937 S Padre Island DR Corpus Christi TX

I think I will start looking at other dealers to get pricing leverage or find the color I want. If I can I will take time off on Saturday to hit the demo rides.

The price is too high. (Should be at least $1,400 off list)
The top priced 2011 $800 upgraded paint scheme Silver/Black color is the best looking Vision they've ever made. (It's also more loaded than the 2012)
Usually you get some credit towards accessories if you do the test ride. (Mine was $1,000)
