| My hid light won't work when I switch it on. The high beam light on the dash works but the light dose'nt. Called the dealer and they said it would cost me $250.00 plus labor to fix it. I Thought all i would have to do is change out the bulb but they said it has it's own wireing harness and i could not just replace the bulb. I did check the fuze to make sure it was not blown, everything looks good but there are headlight relay boxes in the fuze area that i could not tell if they were good. Has anybody else ever have to replace the HID light and pay 250.00 just for the part or am I getting scammed by the dealer. They sell replacement bulbs for the low beams.why not the HID. |

Best of luck |

They are on the bottom of the switch. You have to remove the guage bezel, then remove the console. Be careful when you are lifting up on the bezel so that you don't accidentally pull off any other wires from the switches. |

| Go buy a test meter. Then you can check relays and even unplug hid and see if there is power.
With out meter don't mess with any electoral stuff |

The bulb is held in with screws and the wires run all the way to the ballast. The bulb can be replaced without replacing the ballast as there is a connector at the ballast. It's a pain in the a** to get the connector undone without taking the ballast loose. I just replaced my main headlights with HIDs last year and I probably won't go back with regular bulbs again. Unbelievable how bright these are at night! |

| First off HID lights use high voltage. I wouldn't go poking around with a meter or test light. You can test the low side to make sure you have power but thats about it. After that it runs on magic smoke (dont let the magic smoke out of anything! It's expensive and you can't put it back). Second if the light or ballast died on mine outside of warranty I would see about getting an aftermarket set. I have been running a set on my truck for 3 years now that I paid 50.00 for the bulbs and ballasts. I doubt the reflector is changed so find a kit that fits the non hid Vision bulb number.
Good luck! |

I don't think this was an HID setup. The HID bulbs are crazy expensive. |
