| I'm Mitch,
I introduced myself a little while back. I am coming over to your side of the world for a few months of
touring those great roads you have, plus all the bits in between. I pick up an '09 VVT in South Carolina next month. It's like waitin for Xmas!
Checking out your forum and calendar, was looking for any events, rides back half of April or May in the East/South?
I have no fixed program but want to get into all these famous roads of the Carolinas, the Great South. There are some great websites with info, so not lacking there.
Would be good to meet up with some mbike tragics and if its Victory riders, even better.
I did a 3 month trip last year from LA to Atlanta via TX, Gulf Coast.
I'm just on the slippery side of 50, had fun on different bikes over 10 years of riding here in Aust on Ducati Monsters, FZ6S and couple of cruisers. Just sold a K1200s and this Victory will be my first bigger tourer.
Are they as good as I hear?
Thanks
Look forward to catching up in the U.S.

I can tell you that I think you're really going to enjoy the ride, especially on that Vision. I would recommend that you see if they can have it equipped with the lowers, it's going to be getting pretty hot and humid while you are there. |

We have the best roads, the best scenery, the best weather, and - well I won't say it, but ....
And if ya goes NORTH a tad, you'll meet fellow Imperialists and even BETTER blah blah blah as above.
And I knows all this cuz I LIVED in the south (and collect a pension check from them)
Now don't be mad, boys ... I am just sometimes too honest, sorry!

If you make you through Texas there are some fine roads in the Hill Country. This is an area west of Austin and San Antonio in South Texas.
I am in San Antonio and if you come to this area please look me up. I would be happy to give you some places to visit that are off of the main roads. If I have the time I would be happy to show you around. Send me a PM if you are coming this way.

| I have 3 events that meet up perfect with your timeframe and location:
April 27-29 - Blackbeards Run IV:
http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=11106&po...
It would be great if you showed up. If they give out an award for the furthest distance traveled to get there, you would win.
If you show up you may also be able to meet up with some folks who are from the mountains, and there is some really amazing riding out there. Heck, you might even meet up with some folks that might be going to Myrtle Beach Bike Week or the Southeast Victory Rally in Helen Georga (Tail of the Dragon).
May 11 - 20 - Myrtle Beach Bike week

May 31- June 3 - Southeast Victory Rally in Helen Georga

| G'day and thanks for the replies & tips. Appreciated. Tail of the Dragon...mmmm. Blackbeards Run, yeah thats near Kitty Hawk and I saw an Outer Banks event ther that week (Harl*y sponsored....?) Be there.
Yep will be heading eventually west abouts to the Pacific, so I can swim home. Plan is to wind up in Laguna Seca end July to watch the No.1 defend his title...go Casey!
Lone Star state you bet. Was in Amarillo last year, got a complimentary roadside stop by the Chief of Police (Robert Taylor) Asked me why I had no tag on the bike? Long story.
Would not be dead for quids.
