Posts: 215 orrick, mo | I recently remove my trunk for the first time and like the way the bike handles. My biggest complaint about being trunkless is the loss of the rear speakers. Has anybody done anything to replace the rear speakers with the trunk removed. I'm no fabricator by any means but I have a vision in my head of what I want. I began fabricating one myself.I could be pretty cool if I can pull it off. If not at least I will have fun trying. If anyone else has done something similar what was it and how did you do it? |

| I pulled my trunck the day after I got my Vision. I am OK w/o the speakers but that would be cool to get back. What I WISH I had was a backrest for my wife. I don't feel safe riding around with a passenger w/o some kind of support. Just me.

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | I don't think I would ever sell my trunk. I will either get my creation to work or put trunk back on for trips I don't want to get used to non-surround sound. I enjoy the tunes to much.
Got the sizes of the panels figured out in cardboard and am transferring to sheet metal now. I'm really
enjoying the project so far. Have had perfect weather for working out in the garage. |

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | Got everything done this weekend. Sounds good. I'll try to post some pics tonight. I've gotten about 11 hrs of ride time with it since I got it installed. No complaints with it but i do need to trim it back from seat a little. It fits real snugge against back of seat. Next thing I need is a passenger back rest. I'll start on that in a week or two.

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | I was planning on tilting them forward but it was nice out and I wanted to get riding sooner. But my riding position but me where I still get the surround sound effect. Plus i dedn't want the speaker sticking up to high.
I may do some tweaking to it later. Maybe on some rainy day. But for now I'm just going to enjoy the tunes.
And yes I work in caves. The thrush exhuast sounds great in the cave.
