ROCHESTER,NY | Ok, The ever elusive backrest. Polaris Industries is making the pass. backrest for the cross bike's.Can anyone tell me why they aren't still making it for the Vision???? Are they going to discontinue the Vision? I've seen that their marketing is going full force towards the cross bike's,but what about the rest of us that already have the BEST RIDING MOTORCYCLE TO HIT THE STREET'S EVER!!!!!! You see post's just about every week for someone looking for the oem backrest.Can the backrest that is being made for the cross bike's be modified,to fit the Vision. I don't want to get rid of the tour pack altogether,but I don't need,nor do I want it on the bike all the time.It's just not needed for around town riding. When I was ordering my 2012 Vision,I didn't want the tour pack.Had one on the 07 dresser. All it did was collect random shit. The dealer told me that the passenger backrest wasn't being made any more. Come to find out,the cost difference between the rest and the pack was around 1000.00. I can understand Polaris not wanting to lose the 1000.00. But why come out with a new model, offer the same thing, for it and not the other model. I know an aftermarket one is in the work's by,I think cycleOps. But what the F*&%,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cicero, Indiana | I asked my dealer Monday when I picked up my vision abou the back rest. He told me the vendor they were using was having issues or something so they don't have anyone to make one at this time. In the future who know? I sent a email to victory and the reply was to check with my dealer on parts for my bike. Witchdoctor is working on something also from what I'm told, it's supposed to be like the OEM one from what I have read some were. | |
