When I bought my bike part of the deal was S1L2 pipes for the beast. My parts guy told me, "we don't have any in stock right now, but some are on the way next week. Go ahead and ride it and we'll put them on at the 500 mile service."

Well, the 500 miler has come and gone and the ship date on the pipes has been pushed back twice in that time. Now today the parts guy is telling me they won't ship until 6/20 and he suspects that at that time he will get a notice that they're pushed back till 7/20. What the heck? Aren't these just exhaust pipes? Why is it taking so long to get some bent pipe?

Anyone else trying to get S1L1 and having trouble?

We need a little fist-shaking smilie for times like this...

Join the club Rebel. My dealer has had the S1L2 on backorder since Aug. 07. My stage 1 level 2 was part of my sale. I heard that Vance & Hines makes the S1 L2 for Victory, so I imagine they probably only tool up to run 500 sets or more at a time and that maybe part of the problem. But give me a break back ordered for almost a year. Someone at Victory needs a boot up their A$$. I'm going to the Victory party in Audust and I may be escorted out after I download on the Victory Management. But I have been thrown out of better places. I may just ride that Concours 14 to the party. Think that would draw any attention?

I saw a set on a dealer's bike about 2 months ago and they looked great. We did a runoff between a level 1 and level 2 and imho, the level 2 edged out the level 1 but only slightly in the sound department. Take into account the looks and 40 lbs less, level 2 wins. I checked with Az Victory and was told probably mid-June before they get them in. I was also told that those who already have the level 2's are having some problems with popping and performance and are taking them to the dealer to be reflashed. Finally I have also heard a Vision with Big Honkers on it and it also had a great sound. The dealer said they would be happy to order them from Ness and install it.

I too would like new pipes, but still sitting on the fence between the S2 or the Ness.

I like my lvl2's. sound is good ,but a little on the quiet side. Approx. 700miles on them. I get one single pop if cold or mid warm-up. when at operating temp no pop. 46 mpg.

My shop opens at 10am and should have shipping by noon or so.
I will have parts manager call there butts and find out the skinny on them today for sure.
I posted on the difference between the 49-50 state models and have got no real response.
My service manger is calling them today I hope to find out as well and I will post that as soon as I know whats up.
SO it looks like I am not the only one who is waiting on them.
