The latest gallery uploaded photos caught my eye.
Buzz64077, let's hear a description of your new fabrication!

Does it give better bass?
How is the lighting connected?
What material did you use and how's it mounted?
Did you consider mounting the speakers underneath the luggage rack for a smooth surface?

You can see more photos of his project in the Gallery.

I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.I would say that the bass is improved but not substainually.
I wired the led light off the connection for heated gear under the panel in front of the seat. Light turns on and
off with the key. I couldn't find a plug that fit the one for the trunk so I took apart a adapter plug for a car stereo and used the plug pins from it. The speaker wiring is petty straightfoward.

I used sheet metal from an old car hood I had and plexiglass. I used cardboard to find my shapes and sizes. I used black doortrim around the Visions openings to protect the body from any flex
between plastic and metal. Also used the trim on top to even out any un even cuts and as a seal and buffer
when I tightened down the plexi. I used pre-slotted angle to make mounting brackets. I cut one side of the
angle iron and bent it to the angle need and welded the angle iron to the sheet metal.I using the 2 rear trunk
mounting holes and bolts. I also welded a support rod in the middle to help hold the curvature of the sides.
I had't really considered flush mounting the speakers because I had planned on angling the speakers towards
me for better sound. The day I finished up was real nice so I just mounted them flat and went riding. I may try
to angle the speakers later. I used 5X7 Scosche speakers. I didn't want spend alot on speakers then not be able to pull off this project. I would recommend using a smaller speaker this size barely fit top mounted. I think there is room inside the base for a small amp. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.
If I knew enough about bonding plexiglass together and shaping it I would like to
build one completly on plexi. Be cool to have the whole thing glowing at night. Might give it a shot on some rainy day.
