Posts: 354 20 miles west of Chicago. | I've looked through the product reviews and searched the forums, but cannot find any posts from anyone who has actually mounted the HMD 2" back, 1" up pullback bars on a Vision.
HMD's website says that the bars will work with the stock cables and wiring, but I have looked at those on my bike and there does not appear to be much slack, and that has caused a concern. Has anyone mounted these bars and if so, can you tell me if I'm uneccessarly concerned? Is there any re-routing of the cables or the wiring neccessary? I know that HMD has done it, obviously, but my skills, I am sure, are not up to those of the people who actually designed the bars. |

Posts: 102 Jal NM | There was a post on the VOG about the HMD bars and they do fit without changing any cables or lines I will try to find it and see about posting a link for you. |

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | I just did a set, and used all stock parts. I did have to grind the locating tabs on the switch housings; so they could rotate to the right position, but that really is nothing. Just leave a small tip to keep it in place when tight. |

Posts: 96 Princeton, IL | I installed a set. I left the tabs on, I drilled a hole in the bars after I got them set where I wanted them. I think I posted here my review. I will try and find it when I get a chance. I did post a writeup and pics on the VOG. Look for SammyJ and I have some pics in my profile as well.

Posts: 96 Princeton, IL | Here are a couple of pics. I can't get my picture of the old bars small enough to post here without it being tiny so I can't show you a pics of what I look like with the old bars. Keep in mine I have the 8-Ball seat on the bike which is lower and I also have spacers under the new bars so I could lower the front end. That makes the bars appear taller than they otherwise would be. I can email you a pic of me on the bike with the old bars if you want. I hope these help.
(Jeff, sorry about being so lazy - I have been working a lot of hours and did not know if I was going to have time to upload these tonight)

Posts: 96 Princeton, IL | It is very difficult to use the mirrors without moving your head/body. But again, I am short 5'9", I have a lowered seat and I picked the bars up even higher. Your results may vary!
