Surrey BC CANADA | New Vision owner, and loving my 2011 VV Tour.
But, I want to make it mine, and as such, want to add the oblgitory bling, and creature comforts.
I am looking at the hi-way pegs, Victory sells that mount to the drivers boards.
Does anyone have these? Like em? Hate em??

Jal NM | I have them on my vv and love them. When I bought my bike the dealer had already put them on the bike so you could see what they looked like and to make the deal I made him leave them on, and at first I thought I would not like them but I find that I ride with my feet proped on them all the time. I usually just use the brackets and not the pegs but on long rides the pegs give me away to strtch my legs out and really fex my tighy muscles. |

Only thing I don't like is that when I lay my feet over them the wind comes right up my legs and shoots under my helmet visior. This is not a fault of the pegs, just the way I sit and my leg angle. All in all, I am happy I have them. |

Chesterfield, VA | Well here is a dissenting view. I had a set and replaced them with the Arizona mount that attaches where the shipping ring goes on the front tip overs. My complaint with the Victory hi-way pegs is how they mount to the floorboards. The way the mount sits up on the side of the boards restricts the placement and movement of your feet (it's a tight squeeze to place your foot on the floorboard between the mount and the shifter/brake lever). The Arizona mount, which attaches to the tip over is a little further forward and you decide what type peg, board or offset mount you want to use with them. |

| +1 Vic being dangerous. Those type of pegs will snag on the asphalt and could cause the bike to flip instead of slide. If those kind of pegs are mounted on the inside of a crash bar they won't have the same effect on asphalt. |

Please explain. I am a Victory virgin, and as such, am unaware of the ARIZONA mount.
Is this something that has to fabricated, or purchased??
Can someone please enlighten me.

Salisbury, NC | I like the ones from Victory myself. The only problem you may have is when the pegs are up, then you have no room. But I never have them up, so no big deal. The mounts is where I keep my feet most of the time anyway. The pegs are just exta room to spread out. ET

I have found that they do not touch even when on the tip overs. If you have short legs the AZ pegs sit to far out and then there no good anyway.

Republic of Texas | If you want "cool" get the heel blades from Cycleopsusa.com ( or from http://www.noemtz.com/heelblades.htm) They are not as comfortable, or maybe you just need legs longer than mine, but they look great. 
I find myself using the up turned edges for a rest rather than the heel indention. |

As for grounding I have scraped the floor boards on many occasions but it is always the back of the boards that decks and never the mounts so they must by right |

Litchfield Park, AZ | Ummm, OK....lots of opinions, but something caught my eye. The Victory pegs are NOT dangerous. If anyone can show me a Vision that has "flipped" because of these please let me know....but I'm thinking not a chance in hell of this happening. I have the standard Victory pegs, I ride in the Arizona mountains all the time, and I have leaned the bike over until it hit the tipovers with no issues.
Let's not try and break the laws of physics here on this board, please.
With all that being said, I am switching out the standard Victory pegs for the AZ Victory pegs here very soon simply because at 6'0" and a 34" inseam, they simply are way too far back in position for me. The Victory ones work well with shorter riders, but not for folks like me with longer legs.

New York State | I have a set of JB Hatch Highway pegs, mount in the front tipovers in the thredded hole for the eyerings used to ship the bikes to the dealer.
He makes them in Chrome or powder coat very nice to have on long rides and they do not effect the tipover from doing its job |

Rancho Cucamonga, CA | I have bought the Vic peg, Heel Blades , Tri-City pegs and the JBHatch pegs.
The Vic pegs never were installed, saw the Heel Blades and returned the Vics.
The Heel Blades I sold on this forum because I decided I wanted something to elevate my feet instead, they reduced my cornering clearance and I was burning my inner right thigh on the engine when I used them. I liked how they dissapeared when not in use. You also have to remember to slide them back in when you come to a stop, I had several occasions where I forgot and almost fell over trying to get my foot down.
The Tri-Cities are the best looking ones in my opinion, got lots of complements, but they suffer from the same problem as the Vic ones. They trap your feet in (at least if you have size 13's like me). They also were not high enough to give me a big enough difference from just using the floorboards and they put you in a very wide riding position (spread eagle). They may have stayed on my bike a lot longer had I not hit a truck dually tire with them splitting lanes and bent them. They have no forgiveness and completely mangled my floorboard as well.
The AZ Vic and the JBHatch are very similar in that they mount off the tip-overs instead of the floor boards. The AZ peg mounts let you buy any height or type of peg/board that you want,but they are also the most expensive setup out there, $120 just for the bracket + pegs and extensions, easily $300 when you are done.
JBHatch comes up 4" above the tipovers and allows you to use any peg/floorboard you want. A basic setup costs under $100 for everything. He even makes a different connector if you have long or short legs. What I like about these, is that they keep my feet relativly close to the bike instead of splayed out. In cold weather, I can still have my feet on the pegs behind the fairing lowers. If I do hit another dually tire (not as likely with these) they will pivot instead of bend. These are very well built, a job well done!

Danville, CA | IF you get the AZ mounts and then the Kuryakn longer extensions with pegs it puts them out 2-3 inches and works fine. you don't just add pegs to the AZ mounts,, you need to add the extensions, sorry I forgot to mention that... |

+1 Love his "Toe Rests" I'm 5'9" and they are perfect! I have the same one's pictured in Nozzledog's post above.

Orlando, FL | jomar, I bought those exact same toe rest that Nozzledog has from JB and they came with the pegs. He has a few different one's you can choose from. But then wanted to change out my stock brake and shift pegs to match. Got 'em here. $15 each and FREE shipping!!! Perfect match. Cheap AND great looking!! They come with English bolts, which is how JB's pegs are threaded. Went to ACE Hardware and bought Chrome Metric Bolts to put them on my Brake and Shift pedal levers. Total Cost was less than $20 each!

Moravia, IA | Ive got the factory pegs....only reason, I got a free $500 worth of accessories so the price was right. Ive had them on for over 70K miles and they work great for me.....6ft4in. They offer alot more different foot placement options.
I dont find them dangerous as others have said. I have had them "catch" the lip/crack of pavement before.....and a couple times when at hard lean. They did not flip my bike....but I have had them bend twice.....I just bent them back in place.
Im on my second set of pegs as I ground the first set down but Im still on the same set of "mounts". |
