Posts: 231 Desert Hot Springs (Palm Springs area), CA | Last April 19, 2011 I purchased my 2009 Ness Vision off the dealers floor where she waited for me for 2+ years. Since that time I've been to Prescott AZ, the Grand Canyon, Quartsite AZ, Lake Havasu City AZ, Northwest Oregon, Boise ID, St. George UT and ALL over Southern California where I live in the Palm Springs area. Today, Nessy turned 10,000 miles in slightly less than 1 year.
As it turns out, it happened RIGHT when I was pulling up to my business (Living Waters Spa).
Why did I pick a Victory? Simply put FANTASTIC ENGINEERING! One day at our spa back in about 2008 I had a guest who wrote for a motorcycle magazine (I wish I could tell you but we keep the identity of our guests private). I asked what is your favorite motorcycle? He and his wife, in unison said: "Victory Vision!" So I went on the internet and saw the Vision - wow, wow, wow. But I thought I could never ride something so big... Fast forward to 2010 when I completed my test rides of all the Victory models. I knew I needed/wanted storage and the Cross bikes just didn't fit me and the buffeting I experienced while my test rides was overwhelming whereas the Vision fit me perfectly - ZERO wind issues. Then, after visiting all the Vic dealers in So. Cal. I wandered into Pacific Motorsports where my Nessy was sitting... she called my name and I could not resist. You might ask, "What kind of problems have you had?" The ONLY problem I had was caused by the dealer who did my 500 oil service... somehow the cruise control got disconnected and didn't work when I got the bike back. They are about 70 miles from where I live and I finally figured it out when I got home. Needless to say, they will not EVER get any work from me. Apart from that - the bike has been flawless for 10K miles. My personal opinion is that the looks of the Vision are finally gaining traction in the eyes of motorcyclists. I hope that Victory is noticing the shift in perception that is going on out there. The look of the Vision was shocking to many, but now I think things are changing and it seems that the Vision is catching on... So here is to all you guys/gals who have put more on more miles than me, and to those who are just starting out... We are riding the best, IMHO! -Jeff(AKA JS5Owner)

Posts: 125 Kerrville Texas ( now a homeowner on six acres) | Great testimonial!!! I just turned 40,000 and the Vision seems to run better every time I change the oil. This site has been a wealth of info to me as I have not been a "motorcyclest" all my life.(125 Kawa. in 1968, 650 Yamaha 1988-2005, Then a Vic Kingpin2005-2007, Vision 2007-FOREVER)

Smadge You've got to love the Vision. Talk about bike history. 1983-84 Honda 350 (actually two pieced together to make a ridable one); 1984-1987 Honda CB750 Custom; 2005-2007 1984 Honda GL1200; 2007 Honda GL1500; 2007 - Forever 2008 Victory Vision. 11 total riding years, 5 years on a Vision. The secret to riding is...ride.... |
