Posts: 297 VA | Ok, a month or so ago I had told someone that I was goign to get the new Aqua Box and I said I'd post some pics here when I did. Well, Friday I received my order and mounted it on the bike. I didn't want to cut any holes so I used some 3M double sided stuff, and mounted the circular disc to the center console. I got the shortest arm I could get, and used that to mount the Aqua box. I will say I had to call to figure out how to get the wire in the box, but it worked out. On the back of the box is a raised plate with a punch out to feed the wire in. But, you have to also mount the ball plate. To feed the wire, you have to actually punch out some smaller notches. It sounds more complicated than it really is, but there were no directions. if you really want I'll post some pics later, but I think you can get the idea. Anyways, I did about 400 miles this weekend and it worked great. Even rode in the rain, and the GPSD didn't get wet. To power it, I used the stock cable, and plugged it in inside of the accessory box where the iPod goes. Closed the lid and didn't seem to kink the power cord. So, all appears well. Hopefully I can get these pictures added. Just so you know, I am in NO way associated with RAM, I just thought others might want to see it. I already had a GPS and didn't want to buy a new one, so this was my solution.
