Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Too funny! Not far fetched, but he may confusing the fact that a good portion of RE is made and sold in India, therefore they are an Indian motorcycle. I like their little motorcycles and we have/had a dealer here in Richmond. I've actually thought about getting one, but they require a lot of maintenance to keep them running and the 32 mile daily commute may be too taxing hauling my carcass. |

Posts: 965 New York State | Royal Enfield held ownership of Indian for a short time before an American bought the brand and opened a factory in Alb New Mexico he had issues with 50 state compliance and had to sell what became known as the "Kit Bikes "SS motors and Baker Trans that the owner had to assembel and get through their states paper chase. |
