Posts: 50 Illinois | The critics are right about one thing: there's a lot of plastic on the Vision. But to my question, anybody got any tips to beat the static charge that keeps all the wax dust on the bike? Very annoying. Been washing/waxing vehicles for 35 years, it's not my first time. I've always liked paste wax, maybe try a liquid? Going to have to wash it again just to get the dust off. Just thought I'd ask. |

Or use a Swiffer to get the powder off. Works great for pollen.... |

| I happen to like S100 Detail + Wax. I live in Georgia and we have LOTS of pollen and dust, but my ride stays pretty clean the whole time. The S100 does of good job of not attracting the dust/pollen and no static cling! |

I've used nothing but the Blue Ice (nano-wax) from Turtle Wax on my 2009 Ness Vision. Amazing stuff... |

I've been using PLEDGE for over 20 years (first saw it recommended in the owners manual of a new bike I bought) no white streaks, no frosted corners, and it really does keep static to a minuimum, you can also visit NAPA and buy a rubberized static disappater strap as extra insurance. |

| +1 on using Pledge for 20 year, me also. Spray it on, wipe it down some, let it set a while to can'da dry, then polish it with a micro fiber cloth. Looks great! Siicone elps keep the rust away on chrome |

Posts: 444 Bay of Gigs, WA | I've used Pledge also. Very easy and quick. I also ran across Nanowax at a dollar store or Big Lots or one of those, and I must say it's excellent for getting the scuffing off the front of the bags from my wife's chaps. A buddy got me a kit of S-This-n-That from the Harley dealer. One of them was pretty good, might have been the S-100, but another I thought was soft and streaky. Shiny, but it left fingerprints and stuff. Kinda gooey. Never tried dryer sheets, though I got an email about all the stuff they're supposed to be able to do, and if they do half of it, they're a boon to human kind!
