Thought it might be fun to know how many are planning on making the pilgrimage to Spirit Lake.

Should we try to plan something?
A meeting at the park or the factory?
A Vision-Riders ride?
A Vision-Riders parade through town?

Let everyone know what your thoughts are?

BTW - Anyone doing the 'Power Tour' to the WI and MN facilities on Thursday and Friday before the AVR?

Can someone post the dates of this event and is there a website that has the details on the event? I would like to go and will if I don't have a conflict with the dates.

Thanks,

What are you guys - retired?!?

That sounds like the journey of a lifetime, but I can only take a week max. Have fun, and let's meet up for lunch in Blue Ridge or Hiawassee. I am definitely (weather permitting) going somewhere on Saturday.

Yes! I am retired and have been for 6 years. My daughters are coming in this weekend so I am tied up. Next weekend I will be going to my 50th high school reunion (on my Vision). Bet I will be the only one on a motorcycle. Ha!

After that, I am free on the weekends.

I,m planning on attending the rally. I will be going on Friday morning and coming home on Sunday. I will be staying at the Americiin in Okobobi.
I spoke with Lloyds and they are going to do a bunch of stuff to my vision and dyno tune it. If anyone is planning on having them do work on there bike get an appointment they are filling up fast. Also they will be staying at the same hotel.

Anyone from out of town in MN look me up if you have time when you get into town. I live in Oakdale which is about 20 miles from Wyoming MN. Send me a message and I could send you my number and adress. For interest the oldest bar in MN is 5 minutes from my house and I could get there patio if there is enough people and so everyone knows it is a biker bar. Thanks Rick

Hey guys...if I get my Cherry Vision I will try and make it.

It's up to the motorcycle gods right now. My Ness Jackpot is at our local Vic dealership for sale and once I've sold it I will sign on the dotted line for the Vision.

Anyone need a Jackpot?

Cheers!

So......

Does anyone want to try to get together at a predetermined time in Spirit Lake? We are heading there from southeastern Wisconsin on Thursday and will be around all weekend.

Maybe a "Vision" ride around the area or just a place to meet and swap "Vision" stories?

Me and my wife will be riding in Friday from SE Iowa. It's about 375 miles from my door. If anyone is coming in from the east or south and needs a place to stay Thursday PM we can fix you up. We are staying at Arrowwood Resort and meeting friends from MN there. Enjoy the Power Tour.........we did it last year and had a great time. Riding in a large group with heavy traffic was the only downer.

With the AVR coming soon, I gave a call to Bak Victory, in Sioux City, Iowa, they are suppose to be the Victory dealer at the rally. I asked about the service they will be offering for Visions and they indicated they could take care of most normal service. I asked about tires and the person I talked with, said they would supply tires for the Vision, if anyone would need. I hope they standby what they said as I believe a lot of Visions will be at the rally.

Everyone I know in that area avoids Baks. They either go to D&J in Omaha or Motoplex in Norfolk,Ne.

Well I'm off tomorrow to the AVR and beyond, 12 states, probably around 5000 miles. Hope to meet a bunch of you folks at the rally, it's going to be a good time. Seeing all of the Visions together will be a picture moment. Looks like the rally will be a little wet, but that's ok, can handle it. From the rally I'm headed east and will end up staying for a while in central Ill. and then onto Pittsburg, PA. for a short stay. Anyone in those areas and may want to ride, drop me an e-mail, I'll try to keep up with that. Coming back to Houston, going to ride Highway 7 in Arkansas, top to bottom.......meeting up with Songfan to do that. It is going to be a great trip, almost three weeks........I just might retire when I get back and ride all the time.

Leaving tomorrow morning early! I should be at the Power Tour on Thursday. Hope to meet some of you in person. Failing that, I'll see you in Spirit Lake. I'll most likely be hanging out at Lloyd's Dyno trailer at the far end of the parking lot in Arnolds Park.

I set up an appointment to tune my Vision on Thursday at 2 pm with Lloydz at Arnold Park. Hope this will take the "pop" out of it. If anyone wants to get a dyno tune it looks like the only times left are from 2 to 6pm on Thursday. They are taking names for standby on Friday and Saturday.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does the Lloyd's Dyno Tune do? I'm planning to ride to Spirit Lake on Thursday, depending on the weather.

Ever since I put a Stage 1 Level 2 upgrade on my Vision is has been gettting decleration popping and it is pissin me off. The local dealer is very inexperienced and I am hoping that Lloydz dyno tuning can straighten me out. I have no experience with this problem so between myself and my dealer's tech person we are out of our league. I quess Lloydz is the guru so off I go to Spirit Lake in hope of eliminating this emabarrasing, irritating, no excuse for, decel popping. Go to Lloydz web site and you can get a better ideal of what benefits an experienced dyno tuner can lend you.

Minnow,

When "Sparks" is cold it will Pop quite a bit on decel and just idling down with the clutch pulled in. If Lloyd can fix this on your Vision let me know.

(All Vision riders) Let's plan on meeting on meeting at the factory parking lot at say 5pm on Friday and parade down to the green space together. That would be pretty cool. I guess this is short notice for some but spread the word to all riders that you might run into.

See ya in Spirit Lake, Mike (AIRGUY)

Unfortunatly, there's no way to tune out the decel popping as it is attributable to a lean fuel mixture. (Unless there is an exhaust leak.) The only way to richen the mixture (Tune the engine.) is to either reprogram the onboard computer with a richer fuel map or to add an aftermarket fuel control device. Neither Victory nor anyone, save S&S in conjunction with their airbox, has a richer fuel map for the 106 engines, and S&S does not have one for the Vision, since they do not make an airbox for the Vision. Fortunately Lloyd has an add-on fuel controller designed for the Vision, and with the addition of one of these fuel can be added to the map, and the motor should be able to be properly tuned to eliminate the popping. Lloyd can probably dial it in very well "seat of the pants" with his skill and experience and individual owners can very likely get it very close if not perfect, but the ideal way to tune an engine is to run it on a dynomometer so the exact fuel/air ratios can be observed and tuned throughout the power band. The fuel controller does not, I believe, use the O2 sensors, which in my opinion is perfectly alright, but may bother some. I have an appointment with Lloyd Saturday to install a fuel controller, airbox intake plate and dyno tune my bike on Saturday as it pops and backfires on decel and the header pipes have blued heavily.

I dunno about the lean mixture causing the decel pop..I know, it makes sense to me too, but I have S1L1, K&N and had the VFCIII on there too---- Had the popping mostly on the shift; minimal decel pop. Added a bunch of fuel via VFC- no change. Since I also had frequent engine stall off idle, I removed VFC. Also note that I had reverted back from S1 download to stock download in attempt to fix stalling-nada!
I'm still running the stock download and have no more staling and no popping whatever aside from an occ'l pop on shift while engine is cold.
Now explain to me why this too lean, EPA stock map cures my popping? I just accept that it does!

Hmm.........how about getting this thread back on track...............

I'm leaving Friday morning and heading out to the AVR. I'll couldn't find a decent price for a room in Spirit Lake so I'm staying about 20 minutes away in Jackson, Minnesota.

Any other Northern Illinois or Southern Wisconsin Vision Riders planning on attending?

JAMA; To answer your question, my dealer rides a Vision and also found that the stock mapping seemed to be Ok, but that when he changed to the S1L1 download it started exhibiting signs of a lean mixture. In theory at least, the VFC richened mixture should have taken care of that. Sorry for the off-topic post.
I'll try my best to be at the Vic Factory parking lot at 5:00 PM Friday.
