| On with ignition. I could add a switch, but I would have them on all the time anyway. You can actually see the individual LEDS, but didnt turn out in the pic.

Posts: 1229 Rancho Cucamonga, CA | I like the low and wide spacing that mounting on the tipovers offer. I have Clearwater LEDs mounted on the forks, and have been thinking of how they would look on the tipovers instead. Does mounting them there effect the clearance? I am thinking of working something out with jbhatch to affix them to his hwy pegs. |

| Here are some better pics with close ups. I went to Advance Auto and bought a package of 2, 4 inch white strips of leds. I wanted to try the look without spending a ton of money. If these dont last, I will get some better ones...but these are surprisingly bright and can be see from the sides of the bike as well. Puts out a really cool white glow in front of the bike. They just stick on and do not affect any clearance. Hopefully the pics fully explain where they are mounted.
I should add, that during the day, you cant even tell they are there, unless they are turned on.

Yes, where did you tap in for the power? I like those as well. It's a perfect location for best visibility of them. |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | I think it looks really good.. years ago i went to advanced autoparts and bought strips of Green leds. i spend under $30 and i was about to light up my whole bike (that i had at that time). people were pissed how bright it looked when they found out what i spent on them.... some people spent hundred$ so "special" motorcycle lights... |

Posts: 249 Phenix City AL. | I like it, while playing in the shop, I put a led flash light on each tip over ( tryed a few diff locations ), the tip over looked the best, I am going to make a mount using my highway peg set up, and 2 inch lights from Kewl metal. It should look like landing lights on a big airplane. |

| Sorry for the delay on the response here....I was at the Victory Demo rides at the local dealer......WOW....want a Highball to put in the trunk of my VV. HAHA....super fun to ride!
As for daylight, you can see them, but are not as pronounced as per say....Audi driving lights. I would go to a high power led setup if you want then as DRL's. At dusk or dawn, they begin to become very pronounced...I did take pics, but the way the pics turned out, they arent very visible.
Power...pretty simple. Where the tip over hits the fairing a few body parts come together and form a small hole on my bike which was good to pass the wire through. I did add some electrical tape to keep the wires from fraying with time at the point of pass through. Simply route the wires up to the yellow running light (left or right) and tap onto them (keeping in mind that 2 of these wires are signal lights). I ran both of my LEDs to the same bulb, as the dont have much of a current draw.
Install and enjoy! |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | yeah i was curious about how they were in daylight and when you have the headlight On... i was wondering if the headlight would drownd out the DRL. 99.9% of my riding is day light. im not against riding at night. i just never have a needs to go out at night. |

Posts: 273 Midlothian, Va. | I just ordered from Customer Dynamics the 4.7" 12 LED Stingerz http://www.customdynamics.com/stingerz_led_accent_lights.htm#Indivi... . These are the same LED's used on the trunk brake light (90 LED) mod. I looked at the ones at Advance and the additional money spent will be worth it. I'll get some pictures up after the install. This BTW is a great idea!!!!!! CD price was $40 shipped with a lifetime warranty.

Posts: 273 Midlothian, Va. | They came in today and the install was easy. 1st shot (overcast) was at 4:PM the 2nd at 7:20. Added benefit is they are visible from the side and these are waterproof with a lifetime warranty. They are much brighter in person!

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Only issue with those on the front of the tipovers; is that they're going to be hard to clean; with all of the bugs and road grime that'll hit them. A soft toothbrush would probably be best to attend to them. Now.... we have "teeth" that'll require care on our Visions.... Lol!

Anyone who does this mod...you will be surprised at the "extra" conversation it strikes up....Not that we needed MORE conversation when we stop.

| 99% of the time when I ride - either someone comes over to talk to me, usually at a gas station, or makes a nice comment when stopped at a light... It is amazing the attention a Vision draws, or is it me LOL |
