Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | Just what wharf said. The powerlets in the front of the bike (glovebox and, if installed, drilled into radio console) are switched power. Only on when the key is turned to on. The powerlets in the back of the bike (in the trunk and, if installed, drilled below the radio on the trunk) are constant power. On all the time.
If you're trying to use a battery tender, use one of the ones in the back.
