I'm considering putting some dyna beads in the tires of my Vision Tour and wonder if anyone else has done this and what their opinion is. Would I need to remove the weights that are currently installed or could I leave them in place? I'm also looking at the Counteract beads as well but from what I am reading there isn't much difference between the two regardless of the claims made by Counteract. Thanks for any replies.

You will definately want to remove the old weights. I the dyna beads should do the job for you. I chose another path that I am experimenting with 1000 miles so far.

Done it, love it. Much smoother than the physical weights. I don't know if Rylan removed the other weights when he changed my tires, but I would imagine it wouldn't really matter since the dyna beads adjust to the current balance of the tire/wheel and keep adjusting as it wears. Guess that speaks to how often I clean my wheels.

I just installed them last week, i removed the wheel weights and they are smooth. I used 2oz in my 175/60-16 car tire.

It won't matter of you leave the weights on or take them off, the dynabeads will adjust to the weight. I have dynabeads in my Runflat CT and 'Ride-On' in my front tire. The 'Ride-On' works as both a wheel balance and flat protection.

Been using them (found that I needed 3oz in rear 185 darkside). When changing the tire you can easily remove them from the old tire and use in the new. One concern is what lubricant your wrench is using during the tire change. One company representative demonstrating a tire changer at my local MC show told people that Dynabeads don't work. I think that the real reason he argued against them were for his sales. He sold static tire balancers and a greasy lubricant for installing the tire which they used on the bead and inside of the tire. The Dynabeads would not work if they are stuck in the lubricant.

Make sure that you use an electric engraver or other vibrating tool resting against the valve stem during install.

I tried the counteract beads, but ultimately removed them and went with Ride-On, both front and rear.

For me it's Dyna Beads or don't ride. Cotrary to some beliefs, remove the weights there not needed and just mess-up the looks of a nice looking rim. :-)

Turk, getting ready to do the Ride On in my new Tires. Does it work well, especially at 80-90-100 MPH?

Just had Dynabeads put in my rear tire a couple weeks ago when it was changed by my dealer. I asked about Ride-on, but they didn't have it in stock, they carried dynabeads...so I went with them. Had a great 160 mile ride back and have put on 1000 miles since. She's running smooth, no complaints here. I will put them in the front when it's due, unless I go prepared with Ride-on, then I may have them use that instead.

So far, yes. I haven't taken it up to 120 (gps) yet like I did with the static weights though.. waiting for that opportunity.

Turk, thanks. I gotta get this and put it in my tires. My E3's were almost shot, but my rear tire was losing 3-5 lbs weekly. When it was removed, there was a small staple deep in the tire, very hard to see. Hoping Ride On will take care of anything like this with my Avons. Plus, I hate seeing the ugly wheel weights on my nice rims! LOL

I just put the Dynabeads in both tires on my 09 Vegas, smoothed out the not so good balance job the dealer did on my new front tire. I bought the "motorcycle kit" from Innovative Balancing.com for $14, came with everything needed for both tires.

I have, no problems. The faster you go, the better it works.

Sorry, but I haven't used Dynabeads. I do, however use Ride On in both the front and back and really like them, both for balance and safety.

I just use airsoft pellets......the tire doesnt know how much you paid for the little balls so it works just the same.

Ok guys, getting ready to buy some Ride On. Their dosage calculator has 2 dosages. Regular Dosage and Severe Dosage. My understanding is that the "Severe Dosage is just the Regular Dosage with 25% more which they advise is for "wheel weight balancing". What dosage are you guys using??

We sell, install and stock both here. I would recommend doing the regular dosage....you can always add more if needed. But doubtful, unless wheel or tire has a severe issue due to uneven wear from previous weights being off balance.
