Posts: 53 Raleigh, NC | I thought I had read in the forums somewhere about the RAM cup holder mounts not clamping to the handle bar of the 08 VIsion. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me? There are some great cupholder ideas on here, but I am short on time and can't always find time to do mods. Any suggestions on the best RAM setup?
Thanks.

I tried one similar and the clamp part was not wide enough. However, I think if I just got longer screws, it would still work. |

Posts: 27 Lusby, MD | I purchased the Kruzer Kaddy, they have a VICTORY VISION CLUTCH PERCH MOUNT, that was a breeze to mount to the clutch mounting screws. I also purchased their cup holder in chrome. So far, so good, and I used their mounting "method" on the right side for my TPS.

Work good, last long time |

I'll have to check for that when I pick mine up on Saturday. That would be the easy way to go. |

Kinda, except the piece with the screws is contoured to fit the curve of the handlebar and match the shape of the upper retainer piece, mine was black not pewter, but it's underneath so who really cares? |

Posts: 19 Harbor Springs Michigan | As far as the ram mount, just mounted a victory factory cup holder with they victory factory under control mount. If you have the cube control for the radio the screws interfere with the new mount. I had to grind away a groove to get it to work. Not a huge issue but certainly felt that VICTORYt would have figured this out prior to putting this 25 dollar option on the market.

Posts: 25 Palm Coast Fl. | I use the Ram cup holder. I have it mounted on the right handlebar with a ball mount fastened on the brake fluid res. using one of the screw holes to mount the ball. Never take my hand off of the throttle to take a drink. |

Posts: 17 Bridgewater, MA | I have the under controller ram mount on the clutch and brake with two ram balls in each, which allow for all kinds of flexability.
I can mount my cup holder on eaiter side, change to a GoPro, radar detector, or whatever I need.
This setup allowed me to install real mirrors in the clutch and brake perch, while mounting my accessaories.
Everything looks pretty stock too. |

Posts: 258 Akron, Ohio | I drilled and taped the bosses where a rear view mirror would go. These are already done on the newer ones. I have a ram ball on both the left and right sides. Easy mount for about anything I want to put there. |

Posts: 53 Raleigh, NC | I ended up mounting one to the clutch reservoir, and installing one for my wife using the mod posted here. Both worked very well on our first trip. Although, with my modular helmet, it was hard to drink while in motion. I'll have to find a better straw for next time. Thanks for all the input. |

Posts: 178 LaGrange, GA | Just in case anyone searches this thread out later with the same wondering, your question about the oval bars of the 08 doesn't affect anything - the spot where the clutch perch mounts is round just like a normal round bar. Mine also had no issue with the audio cube mounting screws, but it's pure luck due to the location of my clutch lever. I couldn't rotate the lever up or down any for fit without making a groove as Nessecity mentioned. |

Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | Not for nothing, but the clutch and brake reservoirs are the same that they put on other victories. Which means theres a hole there covered with a piece of black plastic right on top for the mirror. And ram makes ram balls that screw into a mirror spot. 12 bucks. Dirt cheap, and works great. Can buy them at a bmw bike dealere if you dont want to wait for it to get shipped.
