Tucson, AZ | I bought and installed mine a few weeks ago. I agree they are not as sexy (if there is such a thing for lowers!) as the Vic ones or the metal ones but what appealed to me were three things: They bolt on, (very easily once you get past the fear of drilling into the fairing) because I tend to ride fast and I've read numerous posts where other Vision riders have lost one of there lowers especially on the left side. I know some guys have bolted the Vic ones on but I'm pretty certain it was not as easy as the Baker Wings.
The cost savings was somewhat a factor but not the deciding one for me. What I like about the Baker Wings is that every part on the Baker Wing is replaceable separately as opposed to the Vic ones in that if you lose a lower or damage one, you have to buy a whole new set or the metal ones which are nice but $$$ more. I will say regardless of which lower set up you use, they are worth the money. Huge difference in getting air to your legs during the hot days or diverting it away on colder days

They look better on your bike than they did on the Baker site, but my decision is based on function--glad to hear they work as advertised.. I have the clear uppers so I'll go with the clear lowers. New Bohemia, VA | I've gone the opposite direction and even took the uppers off. I like the lines better and apparently I'm more tolerant of the heat than most. Yes I ride in all weather, rode in 111 degree heat through Arizona, two weeks in the Mojave, and across Kansas in 104 degree weather. It gets in the upper 90 and even into the 100s many days in the summer here in Virginia. I have been on a bike that has lowers and they do as advertised. If you can't stand the heat...

New Bohemia, VA | I believe the tassles do a lot of things that folks just won't recognize. It improves performance, gas mileage, tire wear, oil life, battery life, roll-on power, handling, keeps aways the zoning monsters, staves off hunger and thirst, pushes off stormy weather, tames tar snakes, wards off cage attacks, cloaking devise for radar. I could go on, but you get the idea.... |

Extreme Southern, AZ United States | I have had these "wings" now for over a year and a half. i love them. one thing tht I don't like is how they mount. I changed it up and mounted them with larger bolts with nylon lock nuts after I lost one of the original ones on a long run. I also changed out the original wings with chromed steel wings. look good and after a big rock shattered the wing on the right side. No pics, sorry. Maybe later. |

It's not just heat, the lowers also mitigate cold and rain. Living in the Pacific Northwest, mine are closed most of the year. I think the deflectors are worth every penny. |
