Posts: 244 Lindale, TX | I'm a proud owner of a 2008 Victory Vision. However, if my bike was stolen and my insurance paid a great settlement, I am not sure whether I would purchase a new Vision or a Cross Country Tour. Both a great bikes and it would be fun to test drive both. What choice would you make? |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | you can alway add a trunk rack to get the extra storage of the CCT.. btw on a personal note. i was in florida last week at volusia motorsports and i got to talk to the owner. he said he took home for the weekend a CC (no trunk) & him and his daughter rode it. his claim was his daughter said the vision was more comfortable and had Better wind protection and she said she wants him to bring back the vision.. =) when i traded in my 08 vision i had a chance to buy a CC or wait for the CCT but after reading a ton of posts on multi sites from people who went from a vision to a CC/CCT they all said the samething.. the wind protection is NOT the same... and then i noticed. the cc/cct has a fork mounted fairing where as the vision is frame mounted and people commented on that in high/side winds... plus you gotta love the electric windshield of the vision! |

to how important that is. That is important though.
Of course I know the Vision doesn't come in premium trim now. There are things one must
add like a power windshield for instance. I am not sure what else is left off compared to my
2008 premium tour? I know some things have been added, like ABS, 5000 oil interval, etc.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | All I see Victory doing with the Cross bikes is using the "core" of the Vision to make a motorcycle, albeit, a fantastic one in comparison to all the other bikes. There will only be one Vision... enough said, nothing else to figure out, until they gross out the Vision with detachable side bags. JMHO of course... |

Posts: 132 New York | Initially, before I bought my Vision I wanted to get the CC... but the dealership locally said they couldn't get one! So, I started looking at the Visions... and at first I thought they were ugly..etc.. But I kept looking at them.. And you know what? The look slowly started to appeal to me! To the point that I was curious enough to take one for a test ride. Well I tell ya the Vision is the best handling bike I ever had the pleasure to ride it was AWESOME!!... So, that sealed the deal for me!...After a while, the dealer was able to get some CCs...... and I took one for a test ride just to see... which was better.. the Vision or the CC...well we all know the story!!!! ... The Vision wins hands down !!!

The HID headlight was standard equipment on the 2011, but has been removed from the 2012. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | Since the HID is optional I wonder if a fine company like Clearwater would make an LED replacement for that location. That would be cool. Lets face it...that HID bulb is pricey. Wouldn't make since to replace it with a LED. Make it adjustable as well like the Clearwaters'.

Looking at the lights they make..I am thinking that it is small enough to fit in the HID housing without a mod.
What about three Clearwaters....one on each fork and one in the HID slot. All three controlled by the same controller. Hit the Horn and all three come on with full brightness. It would look like a Freight Train!

+1 ... There is very little that I don't like about my Vision even after 4years of riding it, but the adjustable windshield is one of my favouirite features. When the time does come to buy a new bike I will look at any choices that are available but, at this point in time, I can't see me trading my Vision for something that did not have my favouirite feature. |

Posts: 324 New Orleans, La, | Newfie the Honda ST1300 and all of the BMW touring models have the power windshield but they all lack the character and all day comfort of the Vision. Those bikes and the Wing have driver ergonomics bias toying.ward the sport touring styleto t which is great if you're in the average height range or you don't have leg/knee problems. The Vision fits riders from 5'4" to 6'6" as I can personally attest to without add on mods to make them comfortable all day. Those other bikes may have te edge in cornering and ground clearance at the 9-10/10th margin, but for most riders in the age group that ride longrange touring bikes the Visons all day comfort and that power windsheild beats those last 2 tenths in sport handling that the others have over the Vision. Personally I don't do most of my long distance trips on roads like Deals Gap or the Dragons tail. Just sa |

Posts: 259 Land O Lakes, FL | I wouldn't mind trying a CCT out, I do like the amount of storage. My only Vision complaint is the passenger area is pretty small. I can't have the backrest in and my wife on at the same time, just no room for her with it. I came from a GoldWing which has a cavernous passenger area compared to the Vision (as well as more storage) but I really love the ride, handling and by far superior comfort the Vision offers over a Wing for example. The CCT appeals to me because of more storage and passenger area but that's about it... |

| As yet I have not had a go on a cross bike and have wondered if the lighter bike feeling of the CC translates to them not being as stable as a vision in cross winds. The vision being different looking to any other bike does make some of the paint jobs stand out. |

Posts: 1117 Northeast Ohio | If you ride a lot of 2-up, I would check out the rear seat room on the 2011 or 2012 Vision. My wife hated the 2011 seat and longed for the 2008 seat. It is better after Russell did their work, but still not the same. CCT has way more room for the passenger (IMHO). |
