Lake Park, GA | For those that didn't get the electric windshield, the accessory is available. The motor came in today and it took about 30 minutes to install. The hardest part is removing the dash visor. The rest of the installation is very straightforward.
The electric windshield option is the trick. Highly recommended.

Riding last night, I realize my headlamps are too high. I haven't been flashed the highbeams yet
by oncoming traffic, but I also haven't even had my passanger on yet. I took the front windshield
garninsh off and tried to reach the adjustment knob. There is just no way to do it with the windshield
motor in the way. I think I am going to have to temporaly unmount that motor. I didn't look to hard
at that option yet, but is it just a few reachable bolts?

Lake Park, GA | Yep .. nothing to it.
After popping off the metal windshield trim (don't forget to unplug the radio antenna) .....
1) There is one bolt that holds the windshield bracket to the motor clevis. Take the bolt out. The windshield will be under a little spring pressure. Nothing major.
2) Take the two fuse covers off. This is just four of those plastic pins. You will see them.
(you may not have to take the dash visor off but I can't remember)
3) With the windshield in the up and back position, you will see four allen head bolts that hold the dash visor in place. Take them out. Here is the hard part, pull up on the dash and it will pop up and pull back under the windshield. Its a bitch.
4) Undo the wiring harness to the motor. Its right up front. Very easy to get to ...
5) Four bolts to undo the motor. Everything is right in front of you.
The adjustment knob is directly under the motor.
All of this sounds complex but really its a 30 minute job.

Now I thought that was the Thermostat readout doohicky. My reception sucks. If that is the antenna, I need to bring it on through the trim, and put some short cool looking antenna.
I will try and scan the instructions and post them soon.
