Posts: 6 Festus MO | Hello everyone, I just purchased an 08 vision street yesterday and I'm new to the site went on a 300 mile ride today, love the bike but 150 miles in, the speedometer started registering all over the place and intermediately working then not. I do not have any warranty so any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks |

An easy, free thing to try would be to make sure all your battery and ground connections are clean and tight. These bikes are sensitive to poor battery connections and the electronics get confused. Check the ground connection from the battery to the frame too.

You will find a red rubber cap, below is your main circuit breaker, two bolts here to ckeck. Disconnect your battery ground before tightening the bolts, if your wrench handle contacts any metal it will make big sparks. |

In addition to checking the battery cable and ground connections, check the connector to the speed sensor too.

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | Yep, I gt a 5 year extended warranty until 2014 with my bike, even though the selling dealer told me there was no warranty. My local dealer looked it up by vin number and lo and behold all I had to do was pay the transfer fee! |
