Posts: 62 San Diego, CA | Does anyone have any recommendations as far as Bluetooth Helmet Headset that can be used for iPhone (primarily for music, not phone use), Bike Radio, and a future Garmin GPS purchase?
I have also looked into the Garmin GPS App for my iPhone that appears to have most everything the actual Garmin Zumo has but a world less expensive. Going to do the USA 4 Corners Ride next May, and need to add a few bells and whistles to my bike.
I know, I'm a "XCT" Owner, but hey we're all "VICTORY" Owners, right???????
Thanks |

Posts: 354 20 miles west of Chicago. | The SENA SMH-10-10 is one of the best, if not THE best available. However, FYI, I just got a Garmin Zumo 350LM, which has Bluetooth intended for use with a Bluetooth headset. It also has a 3.5MM output jack. I paired this GPS with the SENA headset, and on the way to and from the AVR found that the Bluetooth voice directions would stop after 1-4 turns, and would not start again until both devices were turned off and reconnected. Then the same would happen again, 100% repeatable. I called Garmin and talk to a tech who, in my opinion, seemed not yet even aware of the existence of the 350, their newest unit. The end result of the lenghty conversation was the they are sending me a replacement unit and I have to RMA the old one back. They took a $200 credit card deposit which will be refunded when they get the old one. I was assured I will have it in time for the VMC Meet. At first they wanted all the accessories returned as well, but I told the rep I was not about to pull out and then re-hard wire the power cable, there's only a little wire left for the solder joint and I used 3M VHB tape to mount the voltage reducing cube in the power line, and after some discussion at their end, they OK's just the Unit. The power pins in the mount are putting out 5.34 Volts, which is proper, and I don't see what it has to do with the Bluetooth. For $700 a pop I'm not going to be their Beta tester. Incidently, the headset works perfectly well with my older Garmin Zumo 550, voice directions, HTC Android cellphone, and MP-3's. (The 350 is voice directions only.) I'll be using the new unit (Hopefully I'll have it.) on the way to Hot Springs and will post the results. Just a heads up for Strike in case your future Garmin GPS purchase includes consideration of the Zumo 350 and you do get a Sena SMH-10 headset. |

| I bought shark SHK4RIDER 4 rider mototcycle system for $79.95 each set to use for AVR trip. They did not work very well and I'm in the process of returning them. I do not recommend them. |
