Fountain Inn, SC United States | Thanks to diligent efforts from our other webmaster Miles and MegaBBS developer Matt, over 14,400 posts from this site's beginning in June 2007 through July 2008 have been restored.
They were initially discover "missing" a couple months ago and we went into detective mode to find there whereabouts. As Miles mentioned in another thread, we did not intentionally delete these posts but we think they were the result of a misguided finger on the purge button (I'm taking the 5th on this). Luckily our indexes indicated they still existed on the database and it was a matter of some SQL wizardry that brought them back. Whew!
As I looked over the forums to confirm they were restored, I enjoyed reliving some of the insights and humor from the early days of Vision-Riders.com. Finding the early Articles restored was a blessing, there's a lot of good info to be had. I especially enjoyed our very first article, published on the first day of the site, that garnered high visibility from Victory (or should I say notoriety). They weren't happy to see this on the web, but I think in the end, it helped sell a bunch of Visions. Read it again for the first time. |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Whew! Where would we be without the drivblings of so many "Bib" awards. I think I could name them all! But i think donetracey has been slacking because there are so ma.y who have gone beyond the 1000 post award.
Thanks to the dudes who have recovered some of my great memories. THANK YOU. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | it's just too grown up though. old men, 5 years older than they use to be. time to cut loose...where buckeye, desert jim, and a host others....we could call each other names, and go on for a hundred posts and still be friends. Of course, Jeff and Miles reminds us that this is not a social networking site. Dispite all the frolic, Vision-Riders is always a class-act. As it's been said, "growing old doesn't mean you'll grow up!" |
