| How funny is that. I wanted the lighted trunk emblem for my 2011 and had read your thread before leaving on my cross country trip. Armed with that info I was sure to let the installer know that since I would be on the road and wouldn't be carrying tools to do the install myself.
Starting my trip in Spokane, WA and traveling down the coast, I was sure I'd be able to find one at one of the Victory dealers along the way. Well, guess where I finally found one? Las Vegas! And wouldn't you know it, I got the one you had returned after stripping out the posts. As the parts guy brought it to the counter I checked the posts and it looked to me that they were already stripped (he knew damn well that they had been but didn't want to admit it) he played dumb and ignored my concerns. Since I was having them install it I wasn't too worried. As it turns out, they had never installed one and had to go with at least one larger screw in the post that you had stripped.
I guess the next time I read a thread like this, I'll pay more attention to the city that the poster lives in. | |
