Would any of you know if the Sunset Red color is a 2 or 3 stage paint?

A 2 stage is just your regular base coat clear coat and a 3 stage is like a kandy paint

So, Victory uses a 1 stage? Is there any clear coat on a Victory? I absolutely LOVE my Vision but the paint leaves a something to be desired.

1 stage, traditional (like on a 53 BUICK) one coat of Enamel over a primer or Laquer, both especially Laquer banned by the EPA due to VOC's. Two stage, base and clear over like jjp said, now water based Enamel like you'd get on a new 13 BUICK. Three stage is a tinted base, a top coat, Kandy or pearl, and clear coat top like a custom car or custom bike paint job. Take a cruise through the House of Kolor chip book and see what different tinted bases will do to say, a Kandy yellow top coat.
Classic vehicle restoration shops are anguishing (as is the CCCA) over not being able to use original Laquer paint on period restored cars as hand rubbed Laquer looks right on a 33 PACKARD and a modern, water based two stage looks wrong on that same 33 PACKARD because it's too shiny.
